I'm going through Phoenix Wright withdrawal
« on: February 06, 2006, 02:12:04 PM »
What should I get to replace this void in my gaming life?

Trace Memory?
Sprung?
Import the Turnabout series and learn how to read Japanese?

Since you've played the game, do you mind if we discuss something?

Don't read this if you intend to play Phoenix Wright and don't want to be spoiled:
A friend of mine and I were talking about how Lana was being blackmailed by the chief and, given that she's attractive, he mentioned that the chief might have been asking for favors from her other than law-related ones. However, I don't think this is the case because, considering Chief Gant's style of dress, the gloves, the way he clapped flamboyantly, the way he gave playful nicknames to the young male lawyers, the tinted glasses, the purple suit, not to mention the way he always suggested the guys should go swimming (like he wanted to see them in a bathing suit or something). Simply put, I think Chief Gant was g ay, but that's just my take on it. What do you think?

Hmmm
I never thought about that. I'm guessing he's an omnivore, like a criminal who's been in prison for too long. Besides, everybody dressed pretty weird in the game, except for maybe Phoenix and Gumshoe

Also, he did the flagrant hand gesture at least once during the game, that and the flamboyant laugh and clap were evidence enough for me, but maybe I'm reading too far into it.

augh, stop it! You're not even discussing Pheonix Wright, are you? I'd check, but I'm not willing to risk it.

Oh, and to fill the 'adventure game' hole in your life, get Myst V. It's just like Pheonix Wright. Except without the humor. Or the conversation trees. Or the gameplay.

Trace Memory would be good too.

I liked Sprung a lot more than I thought I would, but unless you can find it for cheap, it's a little hard to recommend.  It's more of an text adventure than a dating sim, for sure, except there's not much "adventure".  It is humourous, though.  Just like the review here on PGC says.

I edited my second post. Nothing I said there was actually a spoiler into anything.

So I got Trace Memory for $17.50.  I'm liking it, the dialogue seems a little  weak  after phoenix  though
