Anyway Tales of the Tempest looks like very beautiful (for a DS game).

Link works for me, anyway the graphics look good... but not great. Should look pretty nice on the smaller screen of the DS, though. Graphics don't really matter much to me on this title anyway, just as long as the battle style is similar to ToS.

I was worried until I read all the negative comments from the review...They claim that the encounter rate is sorta low (What? HOW IS THIS BAD!?), the overall volume is low (Okay?), battle system makes the game more action-oriented (Why is this in the con section?), should have been done in 2D (Shouldn't be a factor in a review...You review on what it is, not what it should be), map is "unnecessarily large" (Huh?), and the battle system is good, but the AI isn't (Just like every Tales game ever?)

So yeah, it seems on a few of these they were comparing it to Final Fantasy, and thankfully it's nothing like it...

Well size could be an issue if there isn't anything to do in a lot of that space, especially if they make you trek across it a lot.

all of those "cons" don't seem very worthy of saying the game is bad or anything. Now if they said something like the game was extremely short and uninspiring or the battle system is clunky, I might have held off on this one but my thirst for Tales is still there.

So from those review points it sounds like the world map may be big and empty, but none of the other points are very relevant. I'll wait for reviews from some more trusted sources before I make any choice.
