This is good news of course, always good to have another game on this side. Though if it is a completely different game I would be interested in seeing if the PS3 and 360 versions are worth playing. But after Shadow the Hedgehog I had enough! Sonic Team or what ever they are called (or soon to be called, because I know the names changing) are dead to me now. I am a huge Sonic fan to, the kind who likes to make his own comic books about him and actualy puts up with Sonic X. The kind who goes to Sonichq every day to see what people are talking about on the message boards, and looks out for every little bit of Sonic news. But man... after Heroes and Shadow I will not touch a Sonic game unless it is criticly acclaimed. Fans will eat that junk up like its gods gift to gaming and can't stand it when someone gives any of the 3D games something like a 5/10.
You know after Sonic Adventure 2, where Sonic Team just about nailed the speed stages I had high hopes for Heroes. The camera in SA2 only went where it wanted you to go, but if one knew the stage in and out, that person could keep moving with out stopping once. People complained that it never felt like you were in control, but I sware if people played like I did(try and run through with out stopping making it look as cool as possible for points) they would have a blast. Anyway I kept reading things like "no treasure hunting"(and there was) and clunky moving robots and thought "wow this is going to be great." I also read that Yuji Naka was playing alot of Sunshine, and I thought "maybe he will see how the physics of a jumping character should work."
Then I realized he took the 3 characters on your team and turned them into a new version of FLUDD.
OK I could rant on and on for a long time, because I am that pissed with Sonic Team, but im sure you guys get the idea. I have no hope for a great 3D Sonic game, and thats what I really want because I think 2D Sonic has been perfected.
