DO NOT WATCH IF YOU DONT WANT TO SPOIL IT. The video was stunning and beautiful. I was surprised at how much Chain of Memories stuff they added in it, very very nice. I am not sure at how many of you liked the first, but I am a hopless fanboy. I rank the original up as one of my fav games along Zelda.

Why does Square do this? Kingdom Hearts is a game so much better suited for GameCube. Instead we just get a shoddy (card-based if I remember right) GBA version.

Its been said before, when Noramura wanted to begin the development of the first title he wanted to put it on the Gamecube, but then everyone said "OH because Disney is for teh k1ddiez LOL IN YO FACE NINTENDO" or somethin along those lines. so he basically got mad and said "This game is not going to be tiku tiku tiku! , I am gonna make Disney look mature and aim for a higher age group" So basically Nintendo's k1ddie look just took it away.

I liked Kingdom Chain of Memories, I found it highly entertaining and a great filler between the two games. I am more appreciative that they thought of Nintendo in the first place. Maybe we will see a filler game on the Ds while the next chapter is in the works who knows.

This game annoys me. Simply because no one has ever called it tiku tiku tiku! . It's got MICKEY MOUSE and everyone is calling Zelda tiku tiku tiku! ! I think Darkheart is right.

Well it just got released in japan a week ago, and considering its a hefty big title with lots of voice work by some serious star talent, I am thinkin summer to end of this year ::Sigh::

I can honestly say that that video spoiled absolutely nothing for me. I guess maybe if I'd played the first one.

Looks beautiful, like most Square Enix games. I'd like a PS2 to play those games with, but my mortgage and my dozens of unplayed GameCube games have different intentions.

See, if I had a PS2, I'd be most interested in the Square-Enix games. Maybe a few other RPGs, as well.

A lot of other PS2 games are generic, sucky, or also available on the PC. Weed out all the crap on the PS2 and the selection of games I'd ever consider playing isn't exactly all that huge.

The Kingdom Hearts games are on the short list, though.

Man, I still have to finish the Riku part of chain of memories.

I too am looking forward to a year of great RPGs on the PS2. They really are hitting all bases and SE is kind of behind all of them. DQVIII (I know it technically came out last year but I haven't grabbed it yet) for super classic turn-based. Grandia III for turn-based with a twist. KHII for real time. FFXII for what I think is an eastern RPG that plays with some western flare.

Add in the Tales love from Namco, and the new .Hack from Bandai and as usual, the PS2 is the place to be for RPGS.

Also, its somewhat sad that MS came out with a new console, the Gamecube is newer than the PS2, and that is more big name titles than the other two are getting this year, at least from what has already been announced.

I lucked out...two of my friends ended up getting engaged and ended up with an extra PS2, so they're letting me borrow one.

Which is awesome, as now I can play all those awesome RPG's. And KHII is on the top of my list.

Sorry for the double post, but I didn't want to start a new thread.

Is there any benefit to having a cleared save from KHI on your memory card with KHII? Like, Xenosaga gave you costumes and such.

I've done some digging but can't seem to find anything.

KH is terribly overrated. It was a boring batch of fetch quests and nothing more. Absolutely one of the most shallow games I have ever played.

About the time I got to the third world and had to find the same character 4 times by running arond from various locations, the whole time having Donald die and the combat getting insideously boring, I turned it off.

Unless they fixed all that in KH2, I can pass easily.

I can't wait for KH2. I've been dieing for KH2 ever since I beat KH1, I loved the first one and the GBA one was pretty good too.

Why can't they use gameplay graphics to advertise? I wanted to see some in game action, get a glimpse of what I'd be doing in the game, I say once we get some finished gameplay footage we collectively sue for false advertising. And is it just me, or are those fmv scenes what you were hoping next-gen or new-gen for that matter, graphics would look like?

I'm playing throught KH1 for the second time, but i'm also playing Baten Kaitos for the 3rd time, Metroid Prime 2 for the 3rd time, and Tales of Symphonia for the 2nd time, along with a few first timers. So hopefully by the time i beat KH1 again, the second one will be out.

That will only work in the UK where the ASA recently nailed some publisher for advertising a game with prerendered cutscenes only.

heh, that doesn't mean you can't sue them for that non the less, you can sue anyone for anything, all it takes is a good lawyer
