That Monkey Movie...

So um...apparantly King Kong is really really good. I had a few friends who attended the L.A. critics screening tonight (yes, they're legit) and they all loved it. Apparantly the audience did too, big clapping for Jackson, Watts and Serkis. Anyone excited about this?

I saw the preview and was totally psyched about it from the start.  Looks like an awesome movie.

Yep, I'll go and see it when I can. Nothing like a good remake.

I haven't seen a single commercial for King Kong.... I have seen like a million commercials for movie tie-ins, at least one for the video game.

Yeah I want to see King Kong but to me it's all about Narnia. Been waiting like 15years to see a good Naria flick. I wonder if they'll make all seven in to films?

I'm trying to avoid getting too hyped up about Narnia meself....what with it being directed by the guy who did Shrek and all.

Besides, we already have a good live action Narnia....

Yes...I enjoyed it immensely.  I loved all the old school nods Jackson did, including the archetypical characters, the non-realistic monsters (T-rexs and the wierd raptor/allosaur things) the messy, almost amateurish editing (had it been any other director, I would have thought it unintentional, but this is PJ we're talking about here) and, his nod to LOTR, and creature features in general, as well as All the Screaming Women.

Also, I love how every character Andy Serkis plays has died.  Gollum, the Ape, and his lovable one eyed Chef character. Think PJ secretly has it out for him?
