Are component video cables region specific?

I'm planning on picking up an HDTV soon and the only component cables I can find (on ebay, anyway) are from Japan.  Will these work on my US Gamecube?

I'd like to know as soon as possible, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Go ahead and get the JPN cables, they're the same as the US cables.  Mine came from Japan.
