Munky, if you like RPGs at all you should pick up Skies. At bare minimum, it's a 60 hour game. It has a great story and good battles.

PSO is more than a little longer playtime than Skies. I've played for well over 400hours, compared to my 60hours on Skies. Still, Skies is the better game IMO. But, I still play PSO because it's extremely addictive. The monthly payment isn't so bad if you have a job anyways, or if your parents pay it for you without complaint.

I'm planning on getting Skies of Arcadia , but I  don't know about PSO, is this game any good? Skies I'll get it but the main priority is The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, reasons? Well I guess you can make them on your own. Also I'm planning to get NBA street 2, I had a blast with the fisrt edition and I have seen the new stuff the new version will have and I'll buy it when I can. This game rules solo or with a friend. Vs a friend is a blast cause if your friends doesn't suck the game gets better and better after each basket is made, so if you haven't tried this game yet , you should at least give it a rental. If it was online it would had ruled cause then I would meet all of you guys and prove to all of you who's the king of the street ball.

i have so many hours on PSO.  The story isn't hardcore, but is still good, and the diffrent difficulties add alot to the game, because you get to find the RARE weapons.  I also played it religously (meaning every night from 11pm to 3 am) online, so i probably get alot of it from there.  I really enjoy the game alot.

I've been away from home at college for over 2 months now.  I called home in the first time in a while and my older brother tells me he bought a Gamecube.  Praise be to the Almighty God of Gaming (I think any Nintendo fan here should know who I'm talking about )!  Right now he has Robotech, Wrestlemania and Metroid Prime.  The first GC game I'll buy for myself, once it comes out here in the States, is Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life!  Soon I'll be going home for my spring break week and I'll spend a few hours getting to know Samus a little better and blast a few Zentradi out of the skies...ahh life is goooood.

Well, I picked up Beach Spikers at Best Buy for $9.95 and it’s a really fun game. It actually is quite a deep game. While it’s a pick up and play game, it has a World Tour mode which is deep because you have a Teamwork rating which you need to keep up. So, if you have tens bucks to spend on a game, go with Beach Spikers!

It's official. I rented ED and I can't say I like it that much. Guess it's just not a game that interests me a whole lot to keep me playing it. I may give it another try later on, but right now I'm having fun with Nascar Thunder 2003, Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest, and waiting for Zelda: The Wind Waker. I've been reading through this thread daily, and some interesting games have been suggested that I'm going to rent soon.

Congrats. Xbox is a cool system. It's my favorite overall, but second favorite right now on the amount of time it's in use.

The xbox is great and all... But the simple HUGE lack of games is its problem--my gc gets all the playing time.

Yea, that's why I haven't really considered getting Xbox at all since both GC and XBox launched in 2001. Back then I was really torn because of Halo, but I got GC for the games I knew would come out for it (including Perfect Dark and other Rare games SONOFABITCH!) If I bought an Xbox i would probably buy just 4 games...Halo, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Splinter Cell(coming out on GC anyway but the Xbox version will probably still be the best one), and Shenmue 2. I have a 56k connection so I could care less about Xbox live. I might think about getting an Xbox once some more great games come out for it, like Fable, Psychonauts, Halo 2, and Perfect Dark Zero. I just don't have the money to spend now anyway. I'm more than satisfied with my GC and GBA, especially since I just finally got Advance Wars for GBA. Damn that game is so awesome.

Only get Ghost Recon if you have an Xbox and Xbox Live. That's the way to play it online via console. Otherwise, there's nothing to do in it except complete all 50 dossier missions.

I agree with super smash bros, and star fox. I haven't played any THPS so I can't say anything about that.  But I think you have to be a die-hard Sonic fan to enjoy SOAB 2.  The only thing that kept me playing was the Chao raising and racing.  The game itself would have been better but the camera totally ruins everything, enough for me to recommend not getting it.  However, my favorite game overall for the cube has been Pikmin.  I highly recommend that game and it is now on sale for 30 bucks.
it was time for a change.

Star Fox Adventures is worth it, too. . . best game Rare ever bothered making (don't like Rare much), and that's probably only with Nintendo's help. . .

Im sorry, but dont get SF:A or Eternal Darkness.  I completely beat both games and they totally suck.  Eternal Darkness is VERY repetitive once you beat it the first time.

SF:A is only good if you like banjo kazooie/tooie etc. (collect-me-ups)

Yes true.  SF:A and ED are the biggest over rated POS i have ever played.  This is my opinion:
- Super Mario Sunshine
- Resident Evil 0
- Resident Evil remake
- Super smash BROS
- Timesplitters

Yeah.  I havent played METROID PRIME yet by i am sure itll fit in around the no. 1 area when i play it.

I haven't played Eternal Darkness, but I would say SFA was worth the buy.  I loathe Banjo-Kazooie, and all the games Rare has made, but this one was okay.
