Can I do this?

Anyway, I thought of a great idea for an avatar theme for this month. (I know it's a little late)

We should all change our avatars to be 32x32 and in just 16 colors to match what our in game MK decals will be. I'll get the ball rolling with mine. Please check it out. It's still under construction. I'm working on the PGC overlay for the upper left. Can anyone do better?

If you would like to get an idea of what colors will be available... here is a screen of the decal creation...

You totally need to scale that bad boy up to 96 x 96. Otherwise it just makes an annoying avatar.

Also, I don't like this idea. My decal is probably just going to be a black circle with a giant white V in the middle of it, which makes a pretty uninteresting avatar.

Heh, I kind of liked the tininess of the avatars... =P

I also wanted the artists among us to help me come up with an awesome PGC overlay we could all (if you wanted to) put on or decals to let people know where we are coming from. My initial try in the upper left definately needs some work.

Sorry Pale...my arteest skills suck ass. I mean...simple geometric shapes are one thing, but the PGC logo? I'd love to help, but theres no way in hell I could pull that off.

Hey, you can just use the symbol that appears on the address bar or on a tab if you use Mozilla. Just Print-Screen and paste it into your avatar. You can't actually do that in the game, obviously, but for the sake of the avatar I don't think you could get more accurate

I just "commisioned" a pixel artist friend of mine to see what he could do with the PGC logo. He said 8x8 would be too small, but a 16x16 is doable.

So...would a 16x16 template work for your idea, Pale?

No no...it uploads...but for the design to be any good for making tags in Mario Kart, I think it has to be a BMP.

I mean, this is template for adding to whatever design you want on your kart. You just...copy it, pixel by pixel, onto your image type thing.

Also, I've updated my avatar. It doesn't look to bad, I don't think.

Very cool. I think its funny the way the red in the middle of the triforce looks a bit like a heart in the small version.

Did you use an app for that? I have not seen this app anywhere...

I made the pic in Paint and put it through this decal maker...Then I touched it up with all the right colors (since the decal maker is far from perfect) to finish it...
