Silver Controller and modem adaptor

Does Nintendo sell the silver controller by itself or is still just with the system? Just wondering, I like to have atleast two controllers the same color as the system and I am about to buy a GameCube, but haven't seen any silver controllers for sell.

I have broadband, but I was wondering if the modem adapter had those terrible dail-up noises? I was shocked to hear my PS2 make the noise when I used it at my friend's house.

I'm pretty sure I saw a platinum controller at www.buyritgames.com. I don't know about the modem.

I know I saw a platinum Wavebird.

I found the Platinum GCN controller at Amazon.com just now, but it's one of those without an actual Amazon sales price--you can get them "new or used" it says for 18.99, but apparently just from external sources.  You might want to check EBgames...I'm sure you'll find one.

Platinum Controllers-yes, got one in my room actually, attached to my Indigo GameCube.  You can also buy them at Nintendo.com

Platinum Wavebird-as far as I know, Japan only for now

Platinum modem-don't hold your breath.

I don't know whether the modem makes sounds or not, but first of alll if it did, i would think that you could turn it off(like on a pc). Also i dont think it will since i need no point in adding a little speaker in millions of modems, when it seems really unneccesary.

The only platinum controllers I could find were on Ebay and they are Japanese. Do they work with US systems?

I didn't say it there, but they're at www.buyritegames.com. GC accessories, of course.
