Lost in Blue I'm Hook!!!!
« on: October 08, 2005, 12:19:08 AM »
When i first heard about this game (L i B) i got excited! because i remember that it was a sequel to survival kids,
now i haven't played the original survival kids but i had an idea of what it was about.  when i bought the game i had second thoughts because it had other games that i really wanted to buy aswell Castlevenia being on the top list with fifa ,Lunar. The game has beautiful graphics and i say that because i apreciate the attention konami spend on little details like for example; foot prints on sand when you walk ,the way the beach water makes the waves just like the real beach. I Love the way they added 1st person view when you hunt ,going to the beach with a spear waiting for the right time to throw it at a fish.  Is fun to hunt explore and create items. So far i being loving every minute of it and you wont be dissapointed trust me. I give a 9.5 out of ten ( this of course is my opinion) Pic

yeah i am too addicted, and so is my sister.  Thank god there is a second save file.  Does anyone know how the food system works?  Is it random or do you really make different dishes by adding certain things, the best dish i made got me like +26, if anyone has any better plz let me know the recipe!

OMG, I am sooo hook...

Anyways, the food items I seem to get the most benefit from are any of the rare fish (not sillaginoid or crucian), or sometimes orange mushrooms (in my game they're not poisonous, they might be different in yours).

Don't forget to check out the abalone that's there every day on the rocky outcropping that you need to climb/jump to west of where you first land, and I'm just guessing, but seaweed and coconuts seem to go well with fish... and don't forget to get spices, spend some time just picking at the ground because spices rock!

Now, if I could only figure out how to fell a deer and get fur...

Ah..I was enjoying Lost in Blue very much...but then I picked up Castlevania.

I suppose when I beat Castlevania I'll go back to LiB.

Still, a very awesome game.  Heh.  The first time I played it, I couldn't figure out how to drink from the stream. So...my friend died. XD

yeah apparently the mushrooms are random, in mine blue mushrooms mixed with almost anything gets me energetic which i believe makes my strength temporairly frozen at whatever percentage it is at, but in my sister's it gives her a soar throat or something.

ok Sorry for my bad Grammar but i have to say more good things about Lost In Blue.  Good decent graphics and sound make this a good game with gameplay that it is topnotch for any DS game so far. As of today i already have almost every thing in my cave i caught alot of different fishes and animals including a deer, rabbit, chiken, racoon dog, snake, lizard, turtle, board, goat you name it. so far i already passed the ruins puzzles and im at the hide out sneaking through, sorry if i spoiled anything for those that havent made it to here. Look forward to alot of stuff happening in this game im at 83days and it is still fun it keeps me glued to my DS at times. I bought castlevenia but haven played it till i finish LIB or get stuck and bored of it witch i dont think i will any time soon i'm looking forward to play as skye and a secret character after passing the game with skye.

Mushrooms are different for each game. The orange ones on my game give me unlimited energy for an hour, while the blue ones poison me (countered by purple mushrooms... I think.)

To kill a deer: FInd a wood stick and a tree vine, make a large trap. Place it in the plains area.  You'll know you caught something because you can hear them when you walk back into the area. Find where he is, get point blank, and plug them with arrows (stick/bamboo + vine = bow. Stick/bamboo + sharpened stone/bone + optional feather = arrow)

Also, it seems like the harder stuff to find (meat, exotic fruits/vegetables) will fill you up more. Skye gets better at cooking as the game progresses. I'm at like day 35, and she usually averages around 30% per meal now...she did cook one thing that gave a 99% boost, but I don't remember what it was (although I'm sure either deer meat or moray eel was a part of it).

The only thing I can't figure out is why she won't milk the goat that I domesticated...she asked for a bottle, I had three, she never took them. I gave them to her before we ate, and she still never uses them.
INCONCEIVABLE!!!
