Legend of Zelda (copied from my post in IWATATON thread)

N64 setup:

analogue: move, swim, perform some context sensitive actions in conjunction with a.
Z: lock-on
A: context-sensitive
B: draw/use sword
R: raise sheild
c-buttons: draw items, call navi, switch camera, play ocarina

REV setup:

The nunchaku attachment controls Link:
Analog: moves, swims
L1: performs context sensitive actions
L2: lock onto enemies

The remote controls what Link is holding:
A: draw your sword
B: raise your shield
d-pad: select other items
Gyro: control items.  (flick to throw a deku seed, swing to swing your sword, move the controller around to look around with a lantern in dark places, etc.) and perform some context sensitive actions in conjunction with L1.

That's a damn good control setup for Zelda

I would probably s**t my pants if it was like that. Zelda has always been about the adventure with fighting pretty damn fun but not the main attraction. With this setup you get both the Adventure and the Action in full force. I'd love it if you could control the swords movements precisely. As in you stab forward to stab forward or you slice to the side to hit an enemy approaching that you didn't lock-on to.

Imagine charging into battle on horse and raising your sword literally.

I wonder what "special" Link will have in the REV version...

You no longer need to lock on in Zelda if you can freely control your sword.

mmmm- I'm not so sure about that. You'd still want to be able to strafe around enemies, and have the camera focused where it needs to be.

With Madden you could zoom out with Z2, point and pass with A, and move with the analogue attachment.
