I'm willing to bet I'll get less than 20 for my SP this time around...
well, EB doesn't give credit for added lighting mods, do they? I would have found a friend to pawn it off on for say $50. I'm sure they'd have been more then happy to just have a gba.

Now I don't expect Nintendo to just let current owners 'upgrade' for nothing, but maybe offer an incentive. Maybe like send it back to Nintendo, you get a voucher to get the better SP up to 25-35 percent off. That sounds fair doesn't it? Won't happen though, Nintendo is hell-bent on making a profit.
You know the 'upgrades' are made to siphon more cash from existing customers, right? They usually are made to court new customers, ones that don't have a GBA yet. Kind of like, hey if you havn't already jumped on board, nows a great time, because we've got XYZ color now or ABC upgrade or new slimline version. If you've already have an SP you do not need this new version. Just like you don't need color XYZ.
If you HAVE to have color XYZ or the slim line or upgrade, find someone to sell your existing one to for $50. Do not trade it to EB/Gamestop they'll rip you off.
[off topic] While we're talking about screens, any tips on how to clean them? I'd rather not waste a thread on that topic. [/off topic]
Breath and a cotton t-shirt?
