I at least appreciate his attempts(sp?) at making it look like he cares about us coloreds. At least he tries, unlike other presidents. . .

except Clinton, he was cool

Bush is such a cam whore. Helicopters on the ground with thier crews standing infront of them doing nothing just so Bush can get his money shot.

I bet no one would miss him if some one blew his brains out. I wouldn't miss him. But then the VP isn't any better.

The federal goverment is only as good as it's leader and given what is at hand well, in some ways I wasn't that suprised with the aftermath.

Good luck with your house TVman.

Bush is only doing what he's suppose to do now.  I'm no big fan of his, but the man is trying.  He did have to take strong criticisms for poor execution and he really didn't have any excuses for the problems (mainly cause it was bi-partisan criticisms and legitimate).   It looks like things are going well now, and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the administration's crack down on the incompetence of those in charge of FEMA.  Nothing like the boss bringing down the hammer and applying pressure to get things organize and flowing smoothly.  Anyways, TVman, do you plan on staying for the rebuilding process?   Where will you be staying in the mean time?

I'm without internet still at my house, but I can get online here at school.

Downgrade.

I didn't get power back until Sunday, my realter didn't get someone to fix the ceiling until today, and my school wants me to pay them a couple of thousand dollars to rush through the semester after being homeless for; what is it now, two, three weeks?  I lost track of the days.  I feel like quiting, and worst of all I will likely be one of the last people on the board to find out what the revolution is.  Someone give me a gun so I can kill myself already.  I havn't the money to pay for books and I have papers due already by friday.  *Jumps for joy*

I have to pay at least a grand before I can charge my books, supplies, and parking tag to my student ID.  It is not that the university is expensive; it is just expensive right now.  Essentially I've gone broke paying for simple things like gas and water.

At least the control mechanic of the REV is good news (though I will have some comments on the square design).

BUMP'D.

I went to my house today to try to salvage what I could. My entire stock of videogames was safe, sound AND dry! All my posters and stuff were ok. BTW I would like to thank whoever invented two story houses because without them none of this would be possible. The bottom floor was smelly and disasterous. Mold was everywhere. Our big screen was on its face. My SNES isn't reachable, though I might be able to save it and SMW. All the furniture was ruined. It stank in there. The floor was completely covered in "dirt." The fridge was on its back. Wood was rotted. Chairs were rusty. Pictures had fallen down and broken all over the floor. There were CDs scattered all over the kitchen. The entire house was maloderous.
I'm going back tomorrow to take pictures (with the SD card IN this time) and maybe some more video. BTW I filmed some stuff. I went by my school, but no one was there so I'll try again tomorrow 'cause it's Saturday.

Call Mike Rowe, 'cause it's sounds like you got a dirty job ahead of you. Hope you were wearing a proper charcoal mask for that mold. Good luck salvaging what you can, I'm sure you've lost some irreplaceable stuff (like the house, heh).

I was all geared up like a space man. It was pretty funny. I'll post some pictures when I get back "home." We took a lot of pictures and I got very little (but very good) video footage today. We took out all the upstairs furniture and most of it is being stored at my uncle Kermit's place. I sprayed all of the 1st floor with bleach to kill the mold (and more importantly the smell). It made me pretty dizzy and my eyes watered from it. I got out a lot of my brother's stuff. We plan to go back again in a few weeks to empty out all the furniture so it cn be picked up. My mom got all of her paper work and was happy that her brand new printer was safe. My dad tried to save his precious (and extremely old) liquor. There were dead fish everywhere! in the bushes, on the outside wiindow sil and even stuck in a fence! That was gros.
That's all I got for now, but don't touch that dial, I'll be back with more. . .eventually. . .
