Topic: Resident Evil 5 could be coming to Revolution afterall!

Seems like my request was heard somewhere, or other people have requested the same, because now it suddenly seems like we MIGHT see RE5 on Revolution.

RE5 for Rev afterall?

They really should give Nintendo that game, the new controller, if it will be what I think it will, should ROCK with that type of game.

...Iwata himself said that RE5 may come to Rev...and he gave the worst possible reason why there aren't any current plans to do so...

Capcom hasn't seen the controller yet.

Famicom, agreed, but if the PC version is released late as hell, i'll go with which comes out first.  Man just thinking how awesome it would look on my PC, drool.

The most important thing yet to be revealed with the Revolution controller, is whether or not they have eliminated the tall control stick, seen with current analogue controllers, replacing it with a better control method. If this will indeed be the case, then I am one to be very happy. I canĀ“t think they will continue with that old control method, afterall the Revolution controller is being touted as being truly new and unique, so it has got to deliver something new and better.

That would also mean I could actually feel better when aiming at enemy characters in RE games, and not sit and fiddle back and forth until I am sure I "got it right" before firing. Shooting in any game, should be easy and simple just like real life: Plain...aim...and fire! Not: "Fiddle-around-until-I-think-I-got-it-right....and then fire". I know that some people have no problem with it, but I do and there are other people like me who have the same problem.

Introducing something new does not mean removing the old stuff. All current generation controllers have d-pads even though they're just four selection buttons at best and an encouragement for bad controls at worst.

Shooting in any game, should be easy and simple just like real life: Plain...aim...and fire!

A veteran player will hit accurately with a control stick, an Expert Marksman will hit accurately with a rifle, a novice won't hit a barn with either. The control stick at least takes care of lining up the sights and keeping the gun steady.

No matter how good they make aiming with the analog stick it's still inferior to aiming with the mouse.


Most first or third person shooting games on a console have some sort of auto aim feature to help you target.  PC games can do manual aiming because the mouse is more precise.

That's why I hope they implement a trackball/touchpad/gyro/something-even-better into the rev controller

Would be nice, but the aiming mechanism in RE4 is pretty sweet.
