The villagers had actually stopped spawningin the end where I still had another 30 seconds to go.

When I get my Gamecube back, I can't post my high score, as I suck at Mercenaries, but I'll post my friends high scores.

Nice work with Wesker blows away my castle score. How did you go about it?

Mercs was removed from the German version along with Assignment ADA. Most people in Germany just went and brought the Austrian version.

Try another charater Nile. Leon tends to blow in Mercs because he usually doesn't get enough 12 gauge to use the shotgun as the primary and the his non-exculsive pistol just doesn't cut it.

I basically just ran up, grabbed the first time... started headshot with the pistol / thrust punching until the Wolverine guy appeared, two shots from the magnum... open the door on the left, kill a guy to keep the streak going (should be over 25 by now)... head up the right stairs, throw a grenade down to keep the streak alive while you get the time and the incendiary... headshot the archer above, head into the building, use the magnum on the guys with the shields, switch to flash, thrust punch to clear out the room... sniper one of the archers on the way to the time-bonus/kill frenzy, kill the other on the way out... flash your way back in and head upstair...

I got hit by an archer out the window upstairs and that cost me the streak, I still think some day I'm going to be able to wipe the level up to those two Wolverines in the last room without losing the streak, should be good for 80+ Combo.

I managed to finally crack 100,000 on all the levels... I wonder if there's ever a way to get six stars or something (like cracking 200,000 on a level, which I think MIGHT be possible on the castle).

I don't think it would be possilbe in the castle to do that as it is far too multi level to hold a combo any larger. But it is helpfully linear.

The village has it's own problem as you hit 100 kills it gets hard to find more guys to waste let alone keep a combo.

Waterworld is a bit too open for its own good and some of the time pickups is in some fairly inconvenit places.

Military is too broken up for comboing, but you never seem to run out of guys to kill.

Although I am not sure that 200,000 is achiveable as you would need 2000 per kill for 100 kills or 200 kills at 1000. A single kill works out to only 500 points. Bosses burn time and tends to break combos taking down but do offer a couple K in points.

the wolverines in the castle were never really a problem in keeping my combo going... my big problem is usually archers, and getting shot with a crossbow bolt while trying to snipe them and having to restart my zoom...

I did get a combo of 74, but since I died that round, well

. Combo gives you higer score, but where near the 2K per kill needed to achive 200K around the 100 kill range which time allows for. The 74 Kill combo only gave a little over 1k per kill.

Archers arn't the problem for me, its the masked guys. My current solution is to either use the killer7, sniper if far, kneecap and kick, kneecap and head shot guy next to him then punch or a genade of some sort.

Given enough time and/or a really steady heavy flow of guys, 200000 is avhieveable, but the game has niether so 200 kills is not going to happen.

I cracked 140 with 138 kills, and my longest combo wasn't even half that. Don't forget there are three of those "1000 per kill" chests on the level and that killing a Wolverine is worth way more than killing a regular guy. I don't know that I could get my number of kills up much higher (150 is probably the practical limit), but with three wolverines, two chests and a long enough streak, I still maintain it's possible.

Hmmm looks like we may top out at 180000. We need a points per kill of 1333 @ 150 kill for this to work. Your last one was 1179.7. Neither one of us are even close. More work needed I guess.

there doesn't seem to be a physical limit to the number of guys to kill at the end, they seem to jump out of those walls ad infinitum (don't try killing them before they jump down, it doesn't seem to count). At my highest points per kill (which might've gone up if I could've kept that streak going at the end... I lost it because a thrust punch took too long to count), you only need 170 kills...

Might be possible, even when I hit 149 kills I know I wasn't killing people as efficiently as is possible (I lost time on getting stunned, missing shots, getting choked or hit, etc). You might be right and it's not attainable, but its tantalizing enough that its going to keep me trying.

I actually think now that 200000 is possible. In that last run I maxed out the Bonus points as much as possible on the tower and in the double Gladiaor room. I spent very little time in the middle room as it is a waste of time considering there are far more guys just outside.

If you had the same Points per kill I did in my last run, you'd have gotten to 195,000... seems like we're knocking on the door.
