amazing but true. I was looking through some xbox forums (dont worry. i dont like the xbox. i just wanna know what goes through those fanboys' heads.) and i this guy was saying how he thought the new zelda was going to suck major @$$. Then he went into babbages, played around with the zelda demo and immediately fell in love with it. He then reserved a copy. I was in tears. (ok no I wasn't but still...) If a demo can change the mind of an xboxer, this game is gonna ROCK!

Wow....an X-Box fanboy thinks that Zelda will be/is good. So at least I now know something goes on in an X-Box fanboy's head.

EDIT: And maybe the fact that Adult Link is a GC only character in SC2 might make them get a GCN as well.

Most of the guys posting in that thread are hardly what I'd call fanboys.  All of them have played the N64 Zeldas as far as I could tell.  What I want to see is someone who hasn't played a Zelda game in at least ten years buying the game.  Someone who hasn't even played a Nintendo game since the Super NES.  Now that would be impressive.

Heck I work at a Sam Goody's and out of us all there is 2 GCN owners, 4 PS2 owners, and 4 xbox owners.  Just two weeks ago I was talking to some of the guys about if Sam Goody's was going to to the zelda preorder deal and none of them knew about it and didn't know if they were going to get it or not but once they heard about the deal they all got excited about it.  The next day I come in for work and it turns out they are doing the deal and 5 employees reserve it and 3 of them dont even own GCN's!  Heck even my manager reserved one!  Now i got this one guy totally excited about FF:CC!  My devious plans are working lol.

couchmonkey:  I was one of those people. The last Zelda game I played was the original on the NES. Zelda and Metroid are the two main reasons I bought a GC.

The first Zelda game I *ever* played was Ocarina of Time.  That was just 2 months ago.  See, I never owned a Nintendo until I picked up the used N64.

I'm a die-hard Xbox fan, but I'm not a proud owner of a GameCube. I have never really disliked Zelda, I've dislike Cube until recently. I do think one game can change a person's views on a console. Like GTA3 on PlayStation 2 or Halo on Xbox. They're all games people want to play. And Zelda happens to be one of those games. People grew up with it, therefore, they want to bring back old memories of the game.

I'm glad to see that people are starting to get more interested in going multiplatform. It really is the best, most advantageous way to go.
