Topic: SD Gundam G Generation DS

The game seems to be selling well in Japan, but I can't find any info about a US release date (for that matter, Bandai makes no mention of any US release dates for any DS titles). Anyone import it yet? Is it something you really need to know Japanese to fully appreciate?

I hate sd gundam they completly K I D D Y gundam up so much I rather suck drity urine puck than play it! the only resone I got a ps2 was for gundam(and the only resone I don't smash it of hate of sony is because of .hack)

Well I've never really watched the show much so I can't voice much of an opinion on that, but the game itself looks interesting.

Think Wind Waker scandal, and you have the SD Gundam scandal.

They chibied all of the gundams and made them in 3D with toon shading.

the SD gundam games rock.  The 3 on SNES are just classic side scrollers and the two I have on PS2 are SEX.  Just too good for words.  I can't wait for the next one to come out, I'll probobly pick up this one too. and these games have nothing to do with that godawful TV series. you can actually find mechs from tv shows other than gundam in the game, like eva and macross.

I just thought of something... Bandai Games doesn't show any DS info on their site, but isn't Meteos theirs?

The SD Gundam series of games (and many other SD-styled games) have been around in Japan for many years...and many of them have been quite good.
This particular one is a strategy-RPG affair (as many of them have been) and is the DS continuation of a very popular series.
...it likely will never come here, tho.

There are some screens here. As I understand it, its a strategy genre game with some RPG elements.

Unfortunately, it looks pretty text heavy. With no localization in sight, its probably not much of a candidate for import unless you speak Japanese, although most of the import houses seem to carry it.
