True, but it might encourage them to adopt earlier, especially if the launch lineup is less than great. Kind of like how a lot of us bought a DS to play the GBA games on a better screen, and the DS-exclusive lineup really won't be that strong until Q4 of this year.
If they do a spot (I doubt they will), I'd like to see them buy it on a channel with a little wider variety of viewers. Remember, this thing is supposed to attract non-gamers. I think it'd be funny to have one on Hallmark or Lifetime or something and show a whole bunch of middle-aged woman gamers.
