Depends on your definition of "professional".  Looks pretty professional to me.  Anyone who can capture all the polygons and textures of Peach's castle, which even the best N64 emulators can't quite do to this quality, and then reconstruct it as close to exactly as anybody can tell, who DOESN'T actually work for Nintendo, deserves some points for technical achievement, I'd say.  If you saw my big topic about the count accuracy, that alone is making it hard for me to shake it off as a fake, and even if it truly is, it doesn't change the fact that that's impressive.  Not amateurish, that's for sure.  How can you NOT call this professional in this regard?

I think that how clunky Samus moved its pretty much all the prove we need that its fake, since in both MP 1 and 2 Samus model moved incredibly smooth and natural, and I dont think Nintendo will take step back for next gen. But, yup, its impressive, it really is, the encoding of the video sucks though..

Professional?  Without any prior knowledge of the system or Nintendo's plans for the system, the video would be completely believable, other than how terrible Samus and Mario looked.

Even though I knew it was a fake, the presentation had me sold right off the bat.

It was a very 'mature' presentation that not only caught my attention but held it.

Now if we could only see the rest of the vid that would be nice.

Agreed.  The fonts and styles used seemed like something Nintendo would use, an extension of GameCube and DS fonts and styles.  And it's a shame the video got cut off there, during what seems like a highly detailed (if controversial) sequence.  If it truly is a fake as the current consensus is, that's way too much work for that.  Is someone challenging the alien autopsy video or what?

That was the new Mario title: Anorexic Mario Revolution. It's supposed to be 100 times better than Mario 128.

Forgive me, it's late. I'm tired and everything is funny to me right now.

As someone on other boards mentioned, assuming it to be real, Samus and Mario might look that way based on how a human playing would want to move, limbs, joints, etc., once again assuming the preference for first-person games.

Unless you get lost in a maze of mirrors, you wouldn't see how ugly your character was most of the time anyway.

Yea, it would be a lot of fun until you start bumping into sh*t in your room.

Plus how would jumps work?  And Viewtiful Joe.  Omg.

Anyway the video is really nice and I like the idea of the system having a development aspect to it, but this is beyond gaming capacity right now, especially on a home market.

However these guys are, I want them to teach me their delicious ways.

I watched the vid without sound so maybe I missed something but clearly it's 90% flash and presentation and basically 10% substance.  The idea that somehow the castle scene PROVES something is absurd.  Animation is DRAWING.  You can DRAW anything you want.  It's rather easy to draw a piece of the castle array and replicate it with graphics software.  Cleary whomever did this is a talented video editor, designer and animator but that's basically all it proves.

There are moments where it comes off as amateur and you can bet that Nintendo would not do that.  All of the logos (way too many, takes up time, distracting you from the real point of the presentation) would only be present in a legitimate presentation if it was designed to be shown to an important, discerning audience.  In that environment you wouldn't put anything in that wasn't perfect.  Each second of a presentation of that sort is scrutinized and edited.  There's basically no reason to leave something BAD in there.  This presentaiton is mostly filler.  That's a key indicator of bullsh!t.

Also, the thing is ridiculous.  A bike-helment looking contraption that you wear on your head, or don't you?  If you don't wear it on your head, why is it shaped like that?  If you do, where does the cd fit in?

Also, the "little box" next to the GC.  THOSE ARE SKETCHES!!!!!  If they were fully rendered images of actual products maybe this would be something to point toward but they're not.  Some joe drew a small box with a question mark and put it to music with some fake logos andyou guys are going nuts over it.

Take off the blinders, this is not a Nintendo presentation.

They should have cut the video before Mario came on, really killed the credibility at that point. The fact that the dimensions for the system are already out, though, pretty much proves this isn't real, if anyone still doubts it for some reason.

Video is so well done, though, that this one is staying on my harddrive for sure, though.

The castle makes very little actual sense, which is why the video is obviously fanmade. The numbers also contain no connecting values. Not to mention the name is worse than XBOX360...

Great video, obviously fake.

That is the best design for a toaster ever.

The castle thing was pretty cool though. When it zoomed out it was like BAM! Whoa. Or something. There were a million. That guy's a pretty talented video making guy. But his design for mario. Haha, that looked so weird.

I dunno i just couldnt' imagine some kids having that much time and that much resourses and imagination to think something like this up.   This looks like some dumb stuff Nintendo would do, i believe it untill proven otherwise.  Notice there were no controller seen in the video.  If this is fake the real question would be who did it and if it is real would you still get it?

This looks to be a rough draft of a demo it lacks the real direction that Nintendo normally shows in it's finished demos.

Wow, LuWoo, REALLY intelligent post there.

First of all, why does it have to be a kid who made the video?  Most of stuff on this here internet spews forth from adults.  Secondly, this DOESN'T look like 'dumb stuff nintendo would do' because Nintendo doesn't do dumb stuff.  Lastley, believing crap on the internet until its "proven false" is extraordinarily stupid, nevermind the fact that this has been proven to be false by NINTENDO.

I found the video to be pretty awsome.  I knew that it was fake before I watched it so I just enjoyed it for what it was, a fan-made peice stemming from that fan's excitement to excite us other fans .  I've done 3d modeling and animation and some video/sound editing and I know a LOT of work was put into this.  For instance, that castle scene.  From what I saw they meticulously remodeled the castle scene (or found some way to get it out of an emulator on the PC) and then copied it over and over by snaping smaller "castle scenes" to the geometry of a huge "castle scene".  Hmm...gets me motivated to do my own mock-ups and the like.

Overall I have to give MAD props to the person(s) that spent time making this and I hope they know it was well worth their time because it really got me and a lot of other ppl excited.

Nintendo dosnt' do dumb stuff mmm.. virtual boy...maybe....cart..nevermind.  What i meant it sounded like that eccentric buisness philosphy of Nintendo(always has to be different).  I thnk it dose have some grain of truth to that video...maybe it's old something Nintendo was dreamfasting but i believe that came from someone at Nintendo just IMHO.  I don't believe everything that gets posted on the internet who dose but this one SEEMS like it has some grain of truth.  It was even linked at IGN they wouldnt show it if it wasnt in some way could be true.

I know Nintendo has given the dimensions of the machine and they don't seem to look like the machine in the video.  If i could re-dub the previous post I would say it wouldn't suprise me if this something from nintendo.

Translation:

"Nintendo On by Psyco3leR its not about any FAKE but a "complain", its an attempt of not stand still at the disgusting wave of "commerciality"*  thats infecting the videogame's industry, and affecting completly my beloved Nintendo (the only one who tries to bring up new things). The commerciality forces companies to put new consoles each 2 or 3 years with the only goal of removing limits of developers. And not precisely  for these to let their imagination go wild to please us with tracendental games but so the can make "good(only superficially), pretty (thanks to the features of the console) and cheap ( and not precisely for the users)" games in less time, to sell quicker. Its not my style that in order to stand by my principles Id chain myself in front of some of their offices or setting myself on fire at E3, so I do it the best way I know, sacrificing a week to create a video that shows the most impressive qualities of a "real" console, I mean, created and proyected on real data using current technology, which despite its high cost would allow to: be inside the games, manipulate any type of implanted command virtually in the hands, using your own body as the joystick axe, take, drag, and drop objects, use (for instance) a hand for putting Mario in it and take him in your own palm to a platform to continue the game, to allow those of us who wear glasses to graduate the visors in order to accomodate them to our vision, to allow players to create their own games by hand-modeling characters, to create scenery taking elements and putting them together like a Lego building, offering the posibility to play a game in a TV using the "eyes" of the console for them to "read" your hands as a controller, multiplayer compatibility  of only one console which distributes the signal to different virtual glasses, and even an "Alpha" opacity function in the visors that with the console's manageability would allow for you to be able to play outdoors with some friends a shooter while the console "places" in the real enviroment explosions, enemies or items. Nowadays the amount of techonology for such console exists, and surpasses it. In a few days Nintendo wil unveil their new "revolution" and I only hope its not another deception Like the ones Ive been having this recent years basing the revolution in the idea of keep on creating consoles very simple for them to not end up being difficult to build but enough so they can gather the attention of conformist people ( the casual users, those who dont care at all about how the industry of electronic entertainment). And unfortunately, we the non-conformist will end up buying it since wed be forced to, because theres nothing better out there. This philosophy is effective from the empresarial ** viewpoint but its not right since its not fair to innovate leaving your dignity at a side and betraying your followers ( there are already other companies that used despicable marketing strategies). I only hope that this E3 2005 Nintendo will again prove to us all that its the best and that as the best company in the world will have ideas that are light years away from what a simple fan could made up""

*I dont know if this is a word in english, I tried to translated it litterally though. Its not a real word in spanish, I know you probably wont believe it but Colombia's spanish, specially in Bogota, is far better than the actual spanish from Spain (and any other spanish speaking country for that matter) from a gramatical and structure standpoint, sometimes I just can stand how mexicans, Spaniards or venezuelans litteraly rape my beloved native language
** I dont know if this is a word in english also. it does exist in spanish though

yeah yeah I know that translating that a saturday night pretty much proves I have no life

He is extremely cocky, here he kind of claims that Mario and luigi Super Star Saga and even Paper Mario 2 was probably an inspiration from his Mario Star Universe fake, (yup, he did that one too).  Dont worry, GC-hispano says to him, and in a pretty decent tone because If it was me Id flame him to hell, that theres no chance his work inspired Nintendo.

He says that he makes fakes not just to get attention (sure  ) but to get companies, in this case Nintendo, to look at things that they overlooked and to not follow "teh evil greddy ways". For instance Mario Universe was made for Nintendo to not put another "remake" but an original Mario title for the GBA and to use the cartoon look in Mario games but not Zelda.

He blows me away with his multimedia skills, but he has no writting skills whatsoever, and thats why the translation sounds so weird (and add to that that I am in no way a top notch translator).

I hate this kind of Nintendo fan, and IGN Matt falls in the same category, they think they have the right answer to how to manage Nintendo, but they dont realize they are just being selfish and want Nintendo to basically please only them. I love how he says Nintendo shouldnt follow the "evil greddy ways" of releasing a console thats actually buyable for the general public, but he also bashes the "conformists" who "dont care at all about how the industry of electronic entertainment works". Seems like he doesnt have a clue either, a virtual reality console thats actually playable would make Nintendo go bankrupt, cheap things sell, expensive things, no matter how mindblowing, dont, and its common sense a company needs to sell and more important to make money so it can stay alive.
