I would like to know....
« on: May 11, 2005, 12:37:43 PM »
will everyone here be more or less keeping their nicks they have here for online gaming with The Revolution?? (it's so great to finally be able to ask that!)

I will be...so if anyone's got a problem with me, I invite them to bring it! and it better be your A-game biz-snatch!

Mostly though, I am just wondering who here thinks they are really good and can not only proclaim it now, but can back it up later as well.

I want to see...

We're all Nintendo fans and we're bound to run into each other right? Who's got what it takes to make claims now and who will hide under an new alias later? I've read what champs write over the internet in my time and you're just a chump!
Oh, wait. I jumped the gun there.

So who? Who? Who can defeat the great El Nino?

I honestly think that everyone who I play against will be horrified at how bad I actually am.  I am seriously a terrible gamer.  That said, I will never tire of being pwned, so you can  always count me in for a game.

We still don't know how this online thing will work, anyway.  We'll most likely register usernames, but seeing as the survey at nintendo.com asked about a few other options, there's always the possibility that we won't.  I highly, highly doubt it though.

If there are names, I'll most likely go with -KN-, since that's what I use on MSN.  But I could also be KnowsNothing, Root Beer-kun, KnowsBeerFun, or Socks Blvd.  When I create my videogame production empire, the studio that started it all will be called Socks Blvd.  So watch out.

I would hope that I can keep my Nickname.  It is something I treasure and is kinda personal, but whatever.

If Paladin is taken, I'll be Paladin Agonistes or some variation of syntax thereof.

I'll be bringing a big mouth and plenty of smack and trash talking so everybody enjoys kicking my ass. I aim to please.

Of course, this is if I play online in the first place. I don't like online.

I have no idea what I'd be ... I'm MrAustin on XBL, but regret picking that name because everyone likes kicking a school teacher's ass (which I'm not, though perceived to be because of the Mr part).  I guess we'll see what moves me when the time comes.

The Robot Knight, Robotor, Cap'n Blasto, Cap'm Tomo, The Ribbit Knife, Super and any of those, any combination of those, Grand Premier god Of any of those, or maybe Ducksauce.  Watch out For The Super Grand Premiere Cap'n God of The Robotic Warfington Sauce....Me and my friends play a lot of starcraft on a LAN, everygame we have a new name.  But you should just expect Robotor.

Also everyone would probably dislike me after facing me, in multiplayer games I don't like to win so much as I like to annoy.  Unless it's a match with something riding on it.
It may be simple, but it ain't easy.

You'll learn to love it.  In Conker I only used the grenades when the game became boring to me.  I was also the weasel, so they were giant bombs.  My friends later adapted the tatic in hopes to annoy me, but it only made me laugh.  I only annoy in games that bore me.  Just to clear that up.

I use this name often so I just might keep using it, but I have another often used nick that I might use as well, so right now I don't really know. I consider myself a pretty decent gamer, so I plan to let the world know who I am when it comes to that. So I can show off and stuff.

Speaking of which, has anyone read what Iwata said about only being able to play with people you know in real life for most games? True or false?

I won't be using ezaphlix, as I perfer to use a name at least I know how to pronounce.  I'm sam i am not on XBL, but I hate that name.  In the DDR circles I'm Dobby, however, I'd like to keep that strictly for DDR.  I guess when the time comes I'll dive into old episodes of Monty Python for something.

Though I promise not to use...

False.  I don't know where you're getting it, but if you head on over to Talkback  you'll see that it was stated that you could choose to play with friends or strangers...

I've been TheYoungerPlumber for pretty much all of my active internet life (sometime in the yeeeear two-thousaaaand), and I'm not about to change my screenname.

I'm honestly think Nintendo will go with the username infrastructure already in place on NOA's website.  You can register systems and games, which is a good precursor to online gaming.

Yeah, I plan to be known across all the internet lands. Good or bad, it matters not.

I'd like to claim my real-life nickname, Shifty, because that's what I've been known as all my e-life. If not, I'd gladly go with one of the derivations of Shifty that I've come across - Shift Key, Short-Shift and Shufty are personal faves.

That's what I'm guessing, too.  You register your Rev S/N on nintendo.com and whatever user name you register it to, that's your handle.

If that's the case, I'll be kingvudu once again.

It would be pretty cool/smart for Nintendo to keep names from their website, in which case I'll be couchmonkey.  If not, I might go by Mr. Pants, since I usually use that for every game where I get to name myself.
That's my opinion, not yours.

What are you talking about?  I've been on PGC for like 4 years now.  I just became inactive when they made the forum switch.  Around that time I found GFF too so that might be why. <_<

I read all the time though.
