yeah IGN did say it in one of their mailbags or articles
yeah FUGLY certainly is a mean description

anyways, the graphics really arent THAT bad, but due to the fact that 1080 64 looked fabulous for an n64 game and really used the hardware and 1080 2 certainly doesnt its a bit dissapointing

i also think its very arrogant of Nintendo to not release a finished product but not improve it either

Also, for those of you who think the game hasn't advanced much from the prequel, check out the pics in the IGN 64 review. There's a lot more texture detail and character models are much better, among other things. Not where i'd like it to be personally, but i'll wait till i play it until i pass final judgement.

this game looks incredo-bad especially compared to amped on the xbox.  the movies of 1080 look like garbage. ssx tricky does in fact look better than the new 1080. the game to me could and should look a lot better but for some reason it doesnt

this game's being made by the same people who did Waverace right? I'm sure they'll deliver, and that avalanche-generating feature is pretty interesting

rodtod: Actually, it was Left-Field who was making it before, but NOA pulled it from them. I believe it's actually EAD making it, now.

And people, it doesn't look BAD- get that through your thick skulls. I know it's an opinion over how it looks, but there's a difference between *bad* and what 1080 Avalanche looks like.

I think 1080 was made by EAD....I remember EAD being all over the game (in initials, on billboards, etc).

I cannot believe that 1080 Avalanche is finished. That game has serious ugly problems. C'mon....nobody is really dying to get their hands on this game....can't they take a few more months and polish it? And by polish, I mean Michael Jackson-caliber plastic surgery.

I think leftfield could have done a better job in this than the waverace folks.  i mean, i liked excitebike a lot more than wave race : blue storm.
this new 1080 game looks like it will be the same as the waverace :blue storm in a sense. it looks like it will have a little improved graphics and bring a weather effect to the game but no real changes in gameplay and therefore will be almost exactly the same game as it was on the 64...which is not good....we need to develop

Well the original 1080 was one of my faves, im hoping this one doesnt disapoint. Maybe Nintendo should spend some money and make a semi sports seccond party development team? hire some folks from EA/activision/Midway that made games like SSX, THPS, and the Blitz series so they can continue games like Exitebike and 1080? call it Nintendo Extreme?

Its not really the graphics that worry me but the Nintendo attitude I believe to recieve from this game which to me says 'Well weve got a few Hits who needs to worry much about 1080 its just to fill a niche anyway'. Now this game might really rock and ill regret saying this but why on earth have a game look so unpolished and then not release it for another like 10months even though its finished.

Perfect Cell, you just gave me an idea! Miyamoto claimed in an interview that Nintendo is up to something with EA… maybe a Nintendo Sports lineup?

JSR, that's a great interview, but Miyamoto was refering to the GBA/GCN link up when he said that about EA...

As for 1080, it looks a lot better than it used to, but it still needs work. If this is the final product, I'd be shocked. I wouldn't be surprised if the game is delayed, in the usual Nintendo fashion...

wasnt the game supposed to come out in january or february originally?  it has been delayed, i dont know what the official release is now but i want this game soon!  i've been waiting soo long.

From what I've seen, the game looks awesome.  Don't always judge it by video or screenshots, most of the time, they don't do a game justice.

No it's just you.  1080 snowboarding looks fine...let's compare some N64 photos to this you haven't forgoten the that N64 3D models look like crap have you?
