I asked the lovely lady at the front reception if Satoru Iwata was going to come to Australia soon because i had heard of it before-hand about a year ago.

She says, "what?"
I say "Satoru Iwata",
"Who",
"SAT-ORU....I-WAT-A",
"......"

They're all from Australia--what do you expect?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

What made you think it should've been taken seriously in the first place?  The thread did say "horrible glory".  You're probably just not aware of how laughably-depressing NAL is.  The articles reflect NAL's state of well-being.  They probably wished they could write about/show more, but there doesn't seem to be anything more to NAL than that!  Poor advertising and non-existant product availability is their gift to Australia, BANZAI!

The Neko-kitty statue thing must be broken AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH

I have the urge to crush newspapers now.

7000, that's good? GTA SA sold about 100 times that in a day. And uh... you must be pretty damn lucky with stores in your area, it looks like I got the last copy of Jungle Beat in the whole of Sydney, and 80% of previously released GC games have also disappeared, right now i'm playing the "buy the game on launch day or don't get it at all!" game.
