Sean, really you have to play WE, and you will see why I told you that Contra isn't that good, but well it's not crap, but the others games are espectacular, if you liked fifa, WE is your heaven, I play it almost every day, and well Silent hill i played once and its a great game, but Contra isn't a bad game, is a good game in my opinion but no so good as WE or SH

I've been meaning to get Contra: Shattered Soldier for the PS2, I'd be quite happy if it did in fact get a port. But I don't understand where this "news" generated from, unfortunately. Konami recently announced their planned GCN titles, I remember, and it was quite bad. They then invited gamers to post on their message boards what they thought about the list, whoo boy, I took one look in there, pages of irate topics from Gamecube fans. Not that that probably did anything, but then again, maybe it did suggest to Konami to try a few small port projects to see if sales on the GC would be worth it.

well quite frankly i bought nes for mario bros. without a system filled with mario bros addicted nintendo crackheads there would be no popular system for Konami to put their games on.
Where did Konami make alot of its money? Ninja Turtles. At the time most kids were Nintendo fans, at the same item most kids were Ninja Turtles fans. Konami made some fucking crazy dough off Nintendo's platform. Would this shit have done as well on the pc? other systems? HELL NO!!!!! So, while i bought Ninja Turtles, Contra, Tiny Toon Adventures!(a fucking kiddy ass game) i was oen of the millions givign them their money and they have the nerve to say im unimportant? I do not think so.... your not even experimenting with us. There are millions of people who have gamecubes. That is a justifiable userbase to test. If the game is good you can guarantee a userbase at least this big will buy enough to make a profit. Are there million seller games? Yes there is. Is there hit games yes there is? What does this mean the system is profitable. Jump on it. As capitalist its important to capitalize. Also, if you dotn cover your bases you will be screwed.

I still say that if you're expecting them to make games for YOU because YOU somehow made them who they are today is a selfish and ridiculous idea.

I can understand if you feel sort of "hurt" by a company you love, but seriously, look at the big picture here.  It's not about you or what you've done for the company, even if you think it should be.

Um, ShockingAlberto, don't take this the wrong way, but no, Nintendo fans don't have the right to complain.  Konami doesn't owe Nintendo or YOU anything.  They are a company trying to make good, entertaining games, and if they don't think the GCN is a viable platform, that's their decision!!

I don't see where everyone gets off thinking they have the "right" to claim they deserve this or they deserve that.  It's the height of selfishness to carry on in this way, and it needs to stop.

Let me clear up what I mean before everyone starts yelling about free speech...haha.

You have the right to yell about what you want.  You have to right to scream that you deserve this or that.  You have the right, let's face it, to do whatever the crap you want.  What does that mean in the end?  Nada.

Some of us need to get over ourselves and realize that there are three actual consoles vying for profit.  On top of that, there are HUNDREDS of game makers doing the same thing.  If Konami has an unfair view of the GameCube's audience, fine.  That's their thing.  But your so-called "right" to complain is so utterly useless.

And saying that Konami wouldn't be where they are today without SNES and NES is not a valid argument considering Nintendo held the monopoly on gaming for many a year (though not through all of the SNES' run).  Competition is actually a good thing, and sometimes--[here comes a grand breakthrough you may not have heard before]--you don't get everything you want!  Can you imagine?

Konami owes Nintendo its lifeblood???  I think you've got that at least a LITTLE backward:  without great third parties like Konami and Capcom, etc., Nintendo wouldn't have been as successful as they were.  Nintendo's first party stuff keeps them afloat, sure, but quite a few years ago, the work of third parties like Konami made Nintendo a super-power towering over everything else.  When they left, or lessened support, Nintendo dropped to second or third.  Period.

Konami owes Nintendo fans nothing.  They owe Sony fans nothing.  They owe MS fans nothing.  They owe it to themselves to do as they please.  Sometimes I wish some people could step outside of themselves and read what they are typing when they type it--they might be shocked by what they see.

THANK YOU!!!! you are so right!!! konomi doesnt owe nintendo their life blood!!! if you are going to think like then, then why dont also say that both sony and microsoft owe nintendo!! its the same freaking thing! if it wasnt for nintendo makin a boom in the market, we wouldnt see seeing these other systems! and then u can think that creating the playstation and xbox is total disrespect to ninteno because they compete against them! BAH!!! see how dumb your reasoning is! there is no layalty, at the end of the day, its all about makin the $$$

People complain whether they have a right to or not. People complain when they feel something is unfair or unjust, and we can argue the merits of that over and over, but in the end it comes down to opinions.

My opinion - people have a right to go to the Konami boards and put forward the game titles they would love to see on the cube. Konami then have the right to either ignore those requests or take them into some sort of account. They are a business.
