Topic: Need help with Paper mario thousand year door

Hi, I'm at the final battle with the Shadow queen and after 2 attemps I was not able to beat her. Has anyone here finished the game? and if so could you provide any tips.  I've read some of the guides at gamefaq.com but they each are different in how to beat this character. so im not sure what to do.

Have lots of Jammin' Jellies, Ultra Mushrooms, and Life Mushrooms.  Use Vivian whenever she does her really big blast.  Otherwise you'll just have to use your mad skillz.

(I equipped Mario with a variety of badges that let me do quite a lot of damage every round; the jump badge that give more attack power to jump but takes away hammer, since you won't need the hammer.  The badge that increases your combo damage but you do no damage if you don't get the combo; just always get the combo.  Other attack and defense ups will also help, get rid of all the badges that are useless).

thanks for the tips. I was able to beat the Shadow queen the 3rd time around.  I was quite surprised how easy that ended up being. I'm trying to find one missing shine sprite thats in the Twilight town.  the tree covers it up. I can't seem to get the sprite, I've tried jumping around but its not working.

That sprite isn't in Twilight Town, it's right before reaching the Creepy Steeple... ^_^

oh yes, well thats what I meant.

I remember I had a hard time getting that one too, for some reason.  There's no special trick to it; you just have to be on the same plane as the sprite.  just keep jumping and moving slightly up/down until you snag it.
