It's kinda the same for the DS, all it has are ports, sports games, and puzzles. The genres aren't going to fill up quickly. But once one takes off on a particular system, you're going to see many more of those. I don't think we'll be seeing that many more platformers.
This makes me wonder though, I wonder what the excuses for the developers are going to be for these systems. They both have the same number of buttons, both of them do have analog (be it one is a much more LEARN ME OR DIE Puff Daddy approach), and they both basically have the same goodies. They can't say that the DS is less powerful, even though it is, but that didn't stop the hoards from making PS2 games for the GCN. They can spend a little bit more time making a map. Oh well, to hell with the "Gaming Penthouse" and "VIVA LA GAMING GHETTO!!"
