According to an interview with the official UK Nintendo magazine, Sonic creator Yugi Naka has let slip a few details about a new Sonic for the GC. While Sonic Heroes was released on all consoles, GC owners might actually have their exclusive Sonic. In effect, Mr. Yugi Naka has declared that he is currently working on a new Sonic for GC that will hopefully see the light of day before the end of 2005. While waiting for more concrete info, we can probably guess that we'll see more about the world's fastest hedgehog next May at E3.

2) There seems to be something about NES games being included in SFA. Can't access JF right now though, so if somebody could copy and paste it here I'd translate.

If it's not co-deved by Ninty it will be the worst game ever...Ok, that was harsh, but if it's exclusive Ninty really needs to watch over the process...

There are 3 supposed NES unlockables in SASS, which I'll spoilerize just in case noone wants to know...Xevious, Starluster, and Battle City...Oh, and some of that new artwork is fantastic! ^_^

An exclusive Sonic is nice I guess but the timing is the sh!ts.  We needed an exclusive Sonic early on.  I think due to Sonic's lame track record in 3D Sonic just doesn't have much selling power anymore.  If an exclusive Sonic game was released in 2002 people would still be under the impression that Sonic delivers the goods and it would buy the game.  But now everyone knows Sonic sucks in 3D so this won't matter.  I pretty much associate Sonic Team with crap these days.  The only way this will really take off is if it is REALLY amazing.

The only way I can see buying another Sonic game is if they ditch the 12 playable character setup and just focus on two things... Sonic and speed. Maybe even bringing it back to 2-D.

The only characters I want in this Sonic are Sonic, Tails and Knuckles... I always liked Knuckles. In fact what I really want is a perfectly 3D-ified Sonic Vs. Knuckles.

The next Sonic game will have 47,000 new furry characters to play with. That's 47,000 new CRAP-ROCK theme songs, right there.
One of the characters will be a dog, and it will be named "Dog the dog" and it will fetch bones for profit and good times, a new song will play when you complete the level, it'll be about ROOOOLLIIIIING STAAAAAAAAART

I have lost all faith in Sega. Their Dreamcast games were all right, nothing that made me glad I bought the system (Marvel vs. Capcom 2 saved me from selling it), but everything this generation has been lackluster at best. Worth rentals, some of them, but not a purchase. People can only stand so many mediocore Sonic games before they lose interest in the character.
