That really doesn't happen to me ^_^
When I was playign OoT, I got frustrated with the water temple and stopped playing. For a few months. Then I picked it up and beat the temple that day. Same thing happened with Metroid Prime, except I wasn't stuck on a boss. I just stopped playing it for a couple months, then picked it back up and got sucked back in. I beat Meta Ridley a few weeks ago, and then I've stopped playing. I know I'll pick it up again and beat it. Same thing with the pogo stick. I kept falling and falling, so I put it away for a month, and got it first try do not attempt to play pogo stick with your favorite videogame console
Actually, this happens with alot of games. Happened with Super Metroid, Eternal Darkness, BG&E, Pikmin, F-Zero, and loads of others. I play games in spurts that last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, then I stop for usually a longer amount of time, then I play them again. I still need to get back into: Xenogears, any FF game I've ever played yeah right, Four Swords, Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, Pikmin 2, BG&E, Viewtiful Joe, and Skies of Arcadia: Legends, and a ton more from the SNES/GBA. I stopped playing four of those because of hard bosses, the FF ones out of sheer boredom, and some just because I started to play other games.
The only game I really can't get back into is Majora's Mask, but that's simply because I HATE being timed. I think it has the best atmosphere out of any game I've ever played, but the time limit just ruins it for me.
Oh yeah, and here's to hoping my wait-and-see technique works with my blasted unicycle.
Plus I never finished PIkmin and never will because of TIME mmkay?
