we ran two stories on this for the 6 O clock news one reporting the decision and another explaining what it meant. Our producer and I both wanted to give it more time than that but then we ended up having "breaking news" come out of Lincoln how Nebraska passed a law making it legal to smoke in cigar bars.

Did you guys explain it with a negative biased republican corporate slant, or report it honestly as the good that it is?

our State is Red but our news room is pretty balanced, so we actually reported it as a good thing. Honestly we get accused of a liberal bias just because we interviewed a Democrat who lost an election.

The thing about this is that it's not even a political issue as far as "regular people" are concerned, but only a political issue as far as corporations and their political servants are concerned.
I think it says on the box, 'No Hispanics' " - Jeff Green of EA

Its one of those things that pretty much everyone in the news room agreed with as a ruling and that is pretty rare in our news room so I agree its not really a political issue. But to be fair we are a content company not a delivery company so it bodes well for us as an organization anyways.
