Hidden 3D Image: There it is! - You Gotta Check This Out!
« on: February 26, 2010, 01:16:37 PM »
Awesome new game from Nintendo for DSiWare
立体かくし絵:アッタコレダ
Hidden 3D Image: There it is!

It uses the camera for headtracking to change your perspective of the screen and create a true 3D (4D!!) image. And it comes out next week.

and here is a youtube link that also shows it in action (find the letter 'A')
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5QSclrIdlE

Pics:

Looks like someone at Nintendo saw that wiimote headtracking demo and did something with it. Home they keep playing with the concept and make something for Wii2 (assuming there is a camera bundled in)

So you tip it around until you make an object and then select?  So it's like a weird cross between where's waldo and echochrome?  Sounds fun and looks cool.

Nintendo's argument against head tracking on the Wii was that it only worked for one person, so no multiplayer games, or even watching someone playing a single player game, work with it. Those issues go away with the inherently single player nature of a handheld. Using the touch screen with it might break some of the illusion, though.

I want to see a multiplayer online handheld shooter using this tech.

I just hope the DS2 has more control option when in the book position.

Here's a short video of the game in motion.

I'm amazed by the technology.  Can't say the game itself looks too interesting, but I'll be sure to check it out if it comes to America.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

That is the exact same video I put in the OP.

Sorry--I somehow missed that.  I blame your Maxi-like formatting.

How is that Maxi-like formatting?

I would have dressed it up better if I could read Japanese, but that was hardly minimalistic in detail with everything jumbled together in a text block.

Probably the most impressive use of the DSi camera/head tracking tech i've seen and probably will ever seen.  Game is called Hidden 3D Image: There it is!  It's a bit hard to describe. Just watch.

Due out for download in Japan next week.  Hopefully it'll come to the rest of the world soon.

I am pretty impressed with this game. I think this is the next step up for portable gaming. I am pretty Jazzed about this.

Well you probably missed it because the topic title isn't the name of the game. As far as searching working I think it does now.

Search actually works really well right now. There are still some issues, but what I'm looking for is usually on the 1st page. NWR search combined with a little ctrl F and you are pretty set to go.

and Spinzilla having the actual title explains why the Topic Title was changed.

For anybody with a Japanese DSi/DSi XL, this game (called Rittai Kakushikai Attakoreda) was released on DSiWare this week in Japan. It's developed by Good-Feel, the same company that developed Wario Land: Shake It!.
