Food Question.
« on: September 09, 2008, 07:00:47 PM »
So I'm sitting here trying to choose between two sandwiches.  Both have ham.

One sandwich is new and different, it's got pineapples, salt, pepper, uses sliced bread and is cut into triangle slices so it can be shared, comes with a vinegar-based dipping sauce on the side, and I've never had a sandwich quite like it before.  At first, the idea of this sandwich seemed pretty good to a lot of people I've asked, but I dunno.  I don't really trust it, and I don't think I agree with the liberal use of mustard applied, nor the costs of that mustard.

The second sandwich is smothered with mayonnaise, and is a little more conservative.  It's got cheese from an Alaskan mountain goat, and, well, I've liked the results this sandwich has always given.  It's not just a bare, conservative meat-and-bread type of deal, because sometimes it mixes it up with lettuce and tomato.  It is pretty dry, though.  It usually changes to fit what is likely to be right.

What sandwich would you go with?  I like the second one.

If I had the second sandwich at an earlier time (and if the ham was made out of soy), I'd go with the first one. I like trying new things. Although neither option sounds too appealing. I love both pineapple and goat cheese, but excessive mustard and excessive mayo are both sandwich killers.

Politics in my sandwich?  Brilliant!
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I like a third type of sandwich.

A Chicken sandwich that's wrapped in a red bread. Priced for all the work class citizen who share ownership of all the state Chicken sandwich shops and is free from the oppression of the evil ham sandwiches that are made of capitalist pigs!

I like my sandwiches with ham and mustard.  I'd much rather my cheese be American.  I don't really need all the flashy things like pineapple to make my sandwich exciting.  A sandwich is a sandwich, and that's good enough for me.  I will, however, throw on some lettuce and onions, if any are available.  Also, mayo sucks.

Peanut butter, strawberry jelly, maple cured ham and american cheese, all on two slices of white bread. Yummy!
