It turned into this mess of a game. Even if the Guncon 3 is pretty much a variation of Wii tech and PS3 tech (they admitted that they use six axis in it) which is no problem for a Wii Zapper setup it seems that namco bandai is too stubborn to launch it on a non sony system.

HATE HATE HATE.

The dumb thing is that putting the game on the PS3 actually made it more exspensive. They needed to make the guncon and charge more for it, when the wiimote would've enbaled them to drop the game's price to normal lervels and saved them all that worry.

Too bad.  TC4 is THE next-gen light-gun game.  Wii is not a next-gen system.  Namco did the right thing to move the franchise forward.

and bring the company closer to financial epic fail

Actually... I heard the port was very lackluster in technical aspects, and that it didn't take advantage of the PS3 hardware really that much... hmm... lazy port with arcade graphics? THIS SHOULDA BEEN ON WII!!!

Not only did it not take advantage of the system all that much, but it had framerate issues to boot.  The only reason I can sort of see why they put it on PS3 was because of the whole "We got here first!" and "Wii already has 3 other games like that and more to come.  Too much competition!"  Their FPS mode might be potentially the other reason, in no way does it even come close to MP3 or MoH2 in terms of fluid control and aiming, the damn gun has two analog sticks on it for freaks sake.  The rest of the controls are in no way decently streamlined well enough to work together either.  Reload with a button? Aim with a stick? That's so last generation!

I take that back, last generation?  More like last era.

Well for the PS3 its a lazy port considering the arcade cabinet namco used for TC4 was basically based on PS2 hardware. So its a PS3 game with PS2 level graphics with HD resolution

It's weird that when Nintendo is finally back on top, Namco and other 3rd parties still ditch the big N for Sony. :/

It's not that but Time Crisis was always on Playstation consoles or hardware based on playstation. Also theres always bound to be exclusives for a console regardless who is top dog in the console race.
