Answering cries from the Land Down Under, Hudson is making their Turbografx titles available on Virtual Console, making it the first time its games are available in that region.  As in other regions, TurboGrafx games will cost 600 Wii points.

Service begins on July 6th with Bonk's Adventure and Bomberman '93.  Through 2007, Hudson plans to release over 60 games in Australia and New Zealand.  Currently, there are 33 games available in North and Latin America and Europe, and 78 games available in Japan for the system.

Yes, Australia, now you too can enjoy an endless amount of a shooters that all appear very similar to each other at first glance!!  Oh and that Japanese comedian game!  Can't forget that!

Actually this is pretty cool since it's another example of games being localized in an area they were originally not available for.

I wonder what the localization effort will be like.

Are they going to rename JJ and Jeff to Australian names?  So like...Steve and SteveSteve?

Anybody who likes shooting games: get Super Star Soldier. Easily one of the best shooters on the Virtual Console.

Does this set a precedent? Will America get MSX games?

Releasing TG16 games in Australia is easy though, since they were already released in North America and Europe. MSX games would have to be translated into English, so that would pretty much rule out text heavy games (like RPGs).

Still, Battle Lode Runner was released on the North American Virtual Console (even though the game was never released outside of Japan originally).

I finally got them to take it in a few weeks ago, all they did was wipe the system memory and send it back, not fixing the problem at all.
