F-Zero GX, while nice, is relatively similar to other futuristic racers including it's own predecessor on the N64.
Relatively similar to? More like a quantum leap better than..

Quantums aren't exactly known for being large.

That's where the leap comes in.

But still, F-Zero GX doesn't have that utter uniqueness that made it a lost gem, to many people.  People had a good idea what they would get if they picked up GX, and those who wanted it picked it up.

Man nobody has mentioned one of my most played games this gen, Gladius.  If you are at all a fan of galdiator themes, Mythology, Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics you should do yourself a favor and track it down.  The game is made my LucasArts and had zero hype unfortunately.

There is alot of depth to the game and stands right up there with Fire Emblem and FF Tactics, however if you don't like Turn Based games, stay the F' away from it.

And last but not least im gonna plug Naruto Fighting games, now since they are being localized if you are a fan of Naruto there shouldnt be anything from stopping you to atleast play the games.  Currently I only own the Japanese 3rd game (I sold the 2nd game) but trust me it is one of the best fighters around.

It's a figure of speech

Well. Bloodworth gave it a 10, and Jonny gave it a 9.. That's high praise. It may not have been as unique or innovative as some games, but the gameplay was just brilliant. The adrenaline, the tight controls, the great level design and the pure speed make it better than most of the games on that list..

And it's not like every game on that list is completely unique anyway. Hulk anyone?
