Stalker Check - the greatest thing ever
« on: August 03, 2009, 06:37:49 PM »
There's a new app for Facebook. It's called Stalker Check. Now I don't install apps but I installed this one. Why? Because it shows you who's clicking on your profile the most.

It is especially funny to me because my number one stalker is this 25 year old woman who's friends with my ex that I see randomly from time to time and is always hitting me via facebook.

So I'm chatting with her and I realize that she's my number one stalker. There's an option to become a fan of the stalker program, so I do and it gets posted on my profile that I'm a fan. Literally seconds after the post, she's like "your a fan of stalker check? you think someone is stalking you?" I said "no no, I just find it really funny" (especially now) she then replies "haha that is funny....i guess..." that's when I lose it.

She then proceeded to solicit a call from me to "hang out" (wait let me count it) 8 times including twice at the end.

And people wonder why I rarely use facebook.

I suggest you guys give it a try, but let me give you piece of advice. Don't become a fan.

Checking it out now.

There seem to be a lot of groups bashing it.

I checked it, and deleted it after 30 seconds. All it tells you is data you should already know - people who are leaving messages on your profile.

And people wonder why I rarely use facebook.

Signed up for Face-book for about 2 minutes. I got an email on my rarely used email account that a "Robin" wanted me to join and be their friend. I was curious enough to see who this was because:

A. I didn't remember having any friends, guy or girl, named Robin.
B. The email account I recieved the invite at was one of my oldest and least used, and i've never gotten any sort of spam on it before so i fugred this was legit.

I made the account, just clicked my way through everything and accidentally hit an option for it to see who on my AIM buddy lists (which i also never use) has a facebook and I saw picture after picture of people I can't stand anymore. Within the first minute of being on facebook I had a couple of messages from people requesting to be my friend, or however it works, including one from some dude I worked with at the Nintendo World Store who I barely ever talked to even AT work. Hell i still dont even remember getting his AIM address..?

I deleted it soon after and never once was tempted to join again.

Facebook is only good to me because of the events. It's a great way to know what exactly is going on this weekend or vice versa when you would like to invite people to your event.

Also I use it to stay in touch with the people I can't just call, like those who live in a different country.

I also use to have a problem forgetting what girls looked liked after getting their number the previous night or nights. Like I'd be looking at my phone and see that I called Emily ____ "Who the **** is Emily ____?!" I'll ask myself. Facebook helped me out with more than a few of those questions., though now I just take a picture and attach it to the number which is a lot better.

I am getting mixed reports here and on Facebook. Is this a useless widget or something that actually shows who is looking at your page?

I don't see any "Stalker Checker" on the list. Is it the one that's just called 'Stalker'?

Too busy with the Live Journal?

Gotta admit, that was pretty funny. Though no i never had a live or dead journal. I didn't see the point of that **** back when i was a teen and thank GOD because everyone i knew who had a live journal were the very same people who became the first myspace whores.

and wow easycure how did that happen? Common name? Facebook is pretty good about spammers

How did what happen? I didn't ever get spam in the 2 mins i had facebook.

And this would be one reason why I don't use any of those such sites.

Mop it up, it's fake. You can't track who looks at your profile. It's just a way to get people curious. I've tried multiple ones on mySpace and Facebook and the best I've ever found tells you what region a viewer is from.
