I remember watching this movie on Nickoloden a couple of years ago. If I find it for cheap I might buy it.

Wow...this sounds almost as ridiculous as
the Turkish Star Wars.. OK, that's probably an overstatement, and I don't wanna turn this into the 'ridiculous movie' thread.

Anyways...I'm gonna have to pick it up, especially if it's cheap...this, and Super Mario Bros...or not :']

For a bit of overview on the movie:

And in reply to an 'error' that's included in the above-linked article
Quote

When Jimmy's turn in the preliminary round of Video Armageddon is completed, he walks away from the game he's playing, but the game continues to play on its own.

The game isn't really playing on its own.  It's really Jimmy playing it.  In fact, Jimmy is so damn good, he entered in the button combos so fast that the machine was still catching up - which is what we mere mortals saw playing out on the screen as Jimmy walked away.

Except the NES doesn't have an input buffer and just ignores input that's too fast for it.

I was just thinking, they should have waited for the release of the Wii to release this on DVD.

They could have cross marketed it... and included a free VC download of Super Mario Bros. 3!
