And a casual defense of Mario Kart Super Circuit.

It's a racing themed episode this week with a few small detours along the road. Neal revisits Chocobo GP in its hellish post-launch state, and both John and Neal revel in F-Zero X's release on NSO. John returns to No Man's Sky on Playstation VR to prepare for the Switch version comparison. The Zelda inspired Tunic also launched on Xbox shortly before recording and John manages to get in some early impressions. Finally with new tracks arriving for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the fellas decide to come up with a top three ranking of the best Mario Kart games?

Great discussions. While I would quibble with a couple spots on the ranking (as anyone probably would), the back-and-forths did a good job justifying them except for Mario Kart 64. I don't think it would be in my objective top three, but the major knock against it (that it hasn't aged well) seemed a bit unfair alongside making concessions for other games within their contexts, such as not having online. I don't think I've seen it ranked so low among its peers. But I guess this is the kind of stuff which makes discussions interesting. On a side note, really nice only having two co-hosts here. Felt more focused and interesting as a result of that.
