Megabloks are just not LEGO bricks, and other systems just aren't Wii U.

LEGO City Undercover would not be the same on different platforms according to Executive Producer Loz Doyle.

In an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, Doyle states that "LEGO City Undercover would definitely lose something on other platforms, Chase is actually given a LEGO version of the GamePad as his Police Communicator, so it's really woven into the story."

Doyle also said that at the beginning of development there were many more ideas for the GamePad, but they decided to focus on making it a "police device"

LEGO City Undercover releases March 18 in North America, and the 28 in Europe.

It's weird being on this side of a 3rd party developer saying their game won't be coming to another console.

Is this where I start throwing money at the screen?  3rd Party exclusives are not something I'm used.

To be fair, a good part of the reason it's exclusive is because Nintendo is publishing it. Still, it's nice to hear good praise from a 3rd party developer.

It'd be nice to hear praise from a third party developer who's not on Nintendo's payroll. Outside of Ubisoft that's not exactly common these days.

To be fair...
Let's not, as Nintendo fans, talk about what is "fair." We'll all leave that conversation terribly, terribly disappointed...

Agreed, I feel like it'll have some Beverly Hills Cop type hi-jinx for some reason. This appeals to me.

Yes, I'm sure the game would "lose something" on other platforms: Nintendo's money. But that's ok. There's plenty of cool games to play on the other platforms. The Wii U can keep the Lego game I probably wasn't going to buy anyway.  :P:
