So the number called me again today. Fiancee wasn't near by so I don't know if her phone rang. This time there was a VERY long pause then the same "Is this Michael?" question...

I said yes, and then they spoke really fast and said I won a trip to some place called the silver lakes resort. I hung up on them.

I've had similar experiences with my celphone calls.

One time, I received a call from a guy asking if he had called a shop (don't recall what it was). I then said "Sorry, but you dialed the wrong number". All of a sudden he gets out of the closet and says in the gayest voice possible "OH EXCUSE ME MY BAD TEE HEE!".

But perhaps the funniest and weirdest call yet was from this guy who I think was either drunk or stoned out of his mind.

This is how the phone call went...

Me: Hello?
Guy:..
Me: Hello, who is this?
Guy:...David
Me:...OK, who are you calling?
Guy:...
Me: Hello?
Guy:..."El gringo, is he around?
Me: Hangs up

Then a few minutes later...

Me: Hello?
Guy: Is el gringo around?"
Me: I'm sorry but you reached the Puertorican

*Hangs up
