Thankfully I didn't buy it, just rented it. Only $7 wasted.
I tried to play it again this morning
I am convinced that nobody play tested this game. So many controls are badly, BADLY broken that no gamer would sign off on this.
- The inventory system works only 10% of the time.
- Not only are the textures muddy, but then they blur out the screen for multiple reasons. You literally can't see enemies because the screen is a gray blotch.
- I never did figure out how to heal myself, so I just randomly die in various places
- The skip a chapter feature is nice, complete with a "Previously on Alone in the Dark" intro. too bad it's required to get past the absolute crap you have to deal with.
Part of me wishes I had bought this game so I could smash it with a hammer.
