Ah, the mentioning of playing games with a little girl was just another swipe at Nintendo. "Look we have gai little kids games too!" was all he was saying. With these guys, everything they say has at least two meanings.

Just LOOKING at him makes me laugh! He looks like a cross between a Vin Dielsel look-alike, and somebody who´s  been smoking too much hashis! Total loser! Him and Kutaragi....Muhahahahahaha....Muhahahahaha...muhahahahaha!!!!!!!

Nintendo rules supreme!

He's still a little more sane than Katuragi, the man who said people should work longer hours to afford a PS3...

Kameo should be a good Xbox 3 game.

Recently J said they won't be able to deliver enough units at launch and that the launch games will suck and he says people shouldn't be so harsh towards them.

Avinash_Tyagi, I am not surprised in the least to learn that Kutaragi said something like that. He must really think that the PS3 is going to be worth so much, that people will have to really afford it to get it. I don´t know how many people out there will believe that nonsense, but they are very naive if they do. A console, any one of them, stand by the value of it´s games alone, and Kutaragi must be convinced that the PS3 games will so good that people will come running after them, when they see them. He said that before anybody ever saw a running demo of a true game on that next-gen platform, and that is just so outrageously arrogant - still typical for Sony who must be thinking they can never be beaten be anybody in the console arena.

I think he will wake up to harsh reality when he sees the games running on Revolution and how much fun they´ll be for gamers from all walks of life. Nintendo Revolution is the only machine to run after, as it will be both affordable and full of magical gameplay fun. The hardware demo alone, tells anybody with any sense of gameplay mechanics that it will be that good. Swing a sword, by moving your remote in the air like you would in real life. Grab a torch, in a pitch black room in, say, Resident Evil or Condemned, and LIGHT the way ahead and around like you would in real life...WOW! THAT rocks! And...erh...yes I got it: take a handgrenade, run towards your enemy by moving the remote slighty forward, and make a quick move with the remote to THROW the grenade over a fence and into a machinegun pit and watch it blow up the bastards! I can already vividly imagine what it will feel like. Full interactivity....at last!

Kutaragi can just go home and so can Allard. Only Nintendo knows how integrate the gamer with the gaming world!

See a few months ago I would have agreed it was only arrogance, but he's been spouting these insane comments for a while, I seriously think he's sony's equivalent of Emperor Nero.

And if the PS3 is really as expensive as some people are guessing it might be (even Katuragi has said it'll be expensive), well I think MS is going to enjoy good sales next gen.

As for the Rev I totally agree, they've succeded in bringing a new level of immersion to gaming...I can't wait to see what they have planned next.

run towards your enemy by moving the remote slighty forward, and make a quick move with the remote to THROW

So moving the remote moves both your character and your arm? Sorry but that's just confusing.

Allard, Moore, Kuturagi, Reggie ... doesn't matter which one you pick, they all about the marketing.  Take what they say with a silo of salt.  All it takes is to spend a little time in marketing to know that everyone is full of it, and in the end it boils down to who spews it with the most flair.

There's a difference in those people, though:

Allard - egotistical ass-wipe
Moore - well intentioned, not too bad, but dull
Kutaragi - Certifiably nuts
Reggie - AWESOME.

I pretty much agree with MrAustin.  If you approach some of what Reggie says with an unbiased eye, thinking, "What is this guy really saying?" instead of, "Nintendo is so awesome!" then you will see he's saying a fair amount of bunk.  He's good at it though, and I appreciate that he's willing to admit mistakes of the past.  Of course, you'll never hear him admit the mistakes of right now.  I think everyone would agree that the launch lineup for DS was not Nintendo's best, but you won't hear Reggie say anything like that until the DS is fully mature.

If I have to hear from a PR person, I'll take Reggie over Allard by a decent margin and over Kutaragi by a few thousand leagues.  Whatever those are.
That's my opinion, not yours.

And Reggie's not nuts.  And Allard is clueless.  So there's still differences.

It's about ENTERTAINMENT VALUE.  These guys are personalities, not press releases.

Listening to Reggie is far more entertaining than say, reading stuff by Matt C., or reading GamePro, or watching G4, or being subjected to Ian's text-assaults HERO OF THE INTERWEB.
