Avinash_Tyagi, I am not surprised in the least to learn that Kutaragi said something like that. He must really think that the PS3 is going to be worth so much, that people will have to really afford it to get it. I don´t know how many people out there will believe that nonsense, but they are very naive if they do. A console, any one of them, stand by the value of it´s games alone, and Kutaragi must be convinced that the PS3 games will so good that people will come running after them, when they see them. He said that before anybody ever saw a running demo of a true game on that next-gen platform, and that is just so outrageously arrogant - still typical for Sony who must be thinking they can never be beaten be anybody in the console arena.
I think he will wake up to harsh reality when he sees the games running on Revolution and how much fun they´ll be for gamers from all walks of life. Nintendo Revolution is the only machine to run after, as it will be both affordable and full of magical gameplay fun. The hardware demo alone, tells anybody with any sense of gameplay mechanics that it will be that good. Swing a sword, by moving your remote in the air like you would in real life. Grab a torch, in a pitch black room in, say, Resident Evil or Condemned, and LIGHT the way ahead and around like you would in real life...WOW! THAT rocks! And...erh...yes I got it: take a handgrenade, run towards your enemy by moving the remote slighty forward, and make a quick move with the remote to THROW the grenade over a fence and into a machinegun pit and watch it blow up the bastards! I can already vividly imagine what it will feel like. Full interactivity....at last!
Kutaragi can just go home and so can Allard. Only Nintendo knows how integrate the gamer with the gaming world!
