I'm very disappointed in this announcement. The Fire Emblem series is already over-represented in Smash as it is. The game has 7 FE characters, we don't need an 8th. There are so many better choices, both first party and third party.

I'm still early in the game, but I like it. I don't like how the beginning of the game drags though, stopping me so often (like telling me to meet me somewhere, then stopping me like 3 times on the way there). It also seems to be a little too easy thanks to the mandatory Exp. Share. I JUST got the Dynamax ring from the professor and I already have my entire team at Level 8 or higher (my Scorbunny is Level 12). It made me laugh when Leon said his brother gave me a challenge, I wiped out his 3 Pokemon with no difficulty at all. And I am surprised that with how much hand holding they do, they give you the Dynamax ring and then don't tell you how to use it. All Leon says is you can use it after meeting certain conditions in battle (without explaining that).

I do like some of the Quality of Life improvements though, like telling me if my moves will be effective against the other Pokemon, or being able to easily learn moves that my Pokemon could have learned (i.e. if you catch a Pokemon that is level 30, you could have it learn a move it knew at level 5).

I didn't mind it with Polterpop, but E. Gadd got annoying. He did not want me going to any room but his, because he kept bitching about how long it was taking me to get to his room.

Good. Since I don't have Nintendo Switch Online, I haven't played the game since I beat the single player mode (Nintendo requires a subscription to download levels).

Could you sign up for the free trial and download as many as you can before cancelling it?

The only reason I haven't signed up for it is because I don't have Internet at home right now, so I wouldn't get much use out of it. Eventually I will

Usually by myself. I could see it being more fun with another person.

I WANT to enjoy beat em ups, but I always get bored after like 10 minutes LOL. I think that's why i've never beaten one, because I just lose interest after a few minutes

I call BS on them claiming it is supposed to be optional to have a account, I think they are backtracking after they got massive backlash on it (and rightfully so).

When Nintendo announced this a few months ago, they made clear to say this is a stand-alone game.

I didn't like how every weapon breaks in the first game, even rare weapons broke really quickly. It's honestly the reason I ended up abandoning the game (I enjoyed the world). If they keep that for the next Zelda game, I might just pass on it altogether.

I can understand not letting SMM2 levels back to SMM, but I see no reason you couldn't move them forward. Nintendo even allowed that on the Game Boy Color when you could send Pokemon from Generation I to Generation II.

I am glad to get more games on Switch, but this is just lazy and/or greedy of Capcom. Porting a 18 year old game to the Switch? Why not port the HD collection? This better be less than $10.

I never really cared about stage creators in games, but i'm glad to have them in for those who do. It gives them more reason to buy the game. I hope it's more feature rich than in Brawl though, it was hard to create any good stages due to the limitations.

I'm glad they fixed the one thing that made me decide not to get either Let's Go games. I thought it was incredibly dumb to get rid of random Pokemon battles (instead, they only gave you the option to catch them instead of battling them)

Now that MP4 won't be shown until E3 2021, the release could be delayed all the way to 2020 or beyond if they still want to use it as marketing for MP4. I see no other reason why they would be delaying the release/announcement otherwise :-\

There has been no mention or hint of them showing the game at E3 2021 (or any other date).

The wording from Sakurai in the direct implied that it would be free for early adopters, then be paid DLC. I am glad Nintendo directly confirmed that though.

The lack of boards is really disappointing, and honestly it could affect my decision on whether to buy it or not.

Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee are still Generation 7 games.

It's a good selection of games (even if they've been released many times before), though I am surprised that Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles are not included. I'm tempted to get it, but when I bought the Xbox 360 version I ended up only playing like 5 or 6 of the games for more than a few minutes.

A truly huge pick up for the Switch! I did not see that one coming... all the way from left field

It looks like the announcement was supposed to be in the Nintendo Direct that was delayed due to the tragedy in Hokkaido, because they just quietly announced this on Twitter the same night.

It's a good pickup for the Switch.

Honestly, the thing holding me back from picking it up is the wild Pokemon battles. I like battling wild Pokemon, and I don't like that they replaced that with Pokemon Go's system of just trying to catch them.

I'm a bit disappointed that the game doesn't have any real Single player content outside of Classic Mode. Still, other than that? Wow.

We don't know what kind of single player mode it will have yet, Sakurai said that would be revealed later. I think he wants to wait as long as possible, i'm guessing it will be unveiled in like October (Subspace Emissary got revealed close to it's launch date too).

TalkBack / Re: Yoshi Delayed into 2019

I think Yoshi was delayed to fill out the first quarter of 2019

I'd rather they fill out the last quarter of 2018. There are a lot of games that are already supposed to be hitting in the first quarter of 2019. Does Nintendo really want Yoshi to compete in that time frame?

There are no games scheduled specifically for Q1 2019 (just general 2019 dates, or second half 2019 for Pokemon games), so not sure why you think Q1 will be too crowded. On the other hand, Q4 2018 already has major first party games in Smash Bros. And the Let's Go Pokemon games, plus Super Mario Party. You really want Yoshi to try and compete with those? A Q1 release would be better for it

I suppose it's not unheard of. the last North American PS2 game was Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 and it came out in November 2013 (1 week before the PS4 launched). Part of me hopes that Ubisoft keeps doing doing for years LOL, even if it's only available on websites LOL.

Was Money Puzzle Exchanger available in the West before?

According to WikipediA, it doesn't look like it was ever released outside of Japan before. It does seem to be in English (or at least the broken Engrish).
