I made an aggregate of their top 10s for y'alls enjoyment (if you're into that kinda thing). The top spot is the ONLY game that all 4 hosts had somewhere on their list. The top 11 (because of a 3-way tie for the 9th spot) only has one game that only one host had on his list and everything else after the 11th is unique to a single host's list. Greg, there actually is a "followed makers" tab in Super Mario Maker 2. It's stupidly indicated with a ⭐ in the "courses" section of Course World.
P.S. my maker ID is QF1-TRP-KFF. I typically make traditional-ish courses with a normal difficulty rating. Pls follow <( ̄︶ ̄)↗

The gameplay and graphics are superb.  But the soundtrack... It is such a departure from the music of other games in the series, both before and after.  Even the classic tunes have this late '80s/early '90s pop vibe. I almost expect Paula Abdul to start belting one out at any moment. (Looking at you Stage 5!)  Thankfully, the series later returned to the gothic/orchestral/hard rock styles in games following. 
The hidden alternate character, Maria, is VERY interesting.  A little blond girl wearing a frilly pink dress?  IN A CASTLEVANIA GAME?!?  She makes the game much easier with her little animal friends but it comes at the cost of emasculation.  Maria's ending furthers the conceptIt feels like the game is trolling you which is pretty cheeky but clever.  It's so unsatisfying that you really want to go back and beat it with Belmont.
One of the few Castlevania games I've actually beaten.  Definitely one of my favourites!

I highly suggest anyone playing Blaster Master for the first time to look over the manual! (http://www.vnoteschronicle.com/sites/default/files/games/blaster-master/graphics/blaster-master-manual.pdf) It's got a few maps of varying detail which will definitely help.
I remember trying this game as a kid and just being totally overwhelmed with the branching pathways and overall difficulty.  Taking my first real attempt at it now, it's still very challenging at first.  A few hours in, though, I'm really getting the hang of it and making significant progress with each new game.  You really feel a sense of discovery when you finally come across the next boss or area.
The constant battle to keep your guy's gun powered up is a serious chore and a majour blight on this game.  Visually, it looks unique with it's muted colour palette.  Some of the backgrounds look great while others look strangely thrown together.  The music is pretty great overall.  Oh, and the slowdown?  You can't really complain about that.  It's a product of the hardware.  Besides, it's an advantage when you're being swarmed!

General impressions:Twilight Princess arrived at an interesting time in the Zelda series.  Coming after the highly stylized Wind Waker, it makes sense that Nintendo wanted to see what they could do in a more traditional style using the extra horsepower of a console two generations beyond Ocarina Of Time.  In the case of the Wii version, however, developer EAD added something entirely new to gaming as a whole in the way of motion controls.
I've only just beaten the third dungeon but I can safely say, I regret not getting the GameCube version.  I love using the pointer to aim but it seems pretty unanimous - the sword waggling is a huge drawback - especially after they got it so right in Skyward Sword IMO.
That said, there are a lot of things EAD exceeded at.  Though not as unnerving as Majora's Mask, the dark tone both graphically and aurally is effective and aesthetically pleasing.  I particularly love the way the shadow realm feels.  The music gets SO DARK and brooding.  The cool glitchy SFX go well with the Tron-inspired neon and pixelized particle effects.  I think the graphics have held up pretty well barring the odd texture.  The bloom lighting is actually refreshing after not seeing so much of it these days.
TP has some really endearing characters too - particularly Midna.  Telma is another favourite - I like that she's portrayed in a fairly realistic style compared to others like the postman but it's a little jarring having such disparate designs one character to the next.  I might have preferred a more lifelike approach like this overall.
I agree that Hyrule field is just too sparse.  I find myself plowing through it from departure point to destination rather than stopping to poke around and explore.  Here's hoping they find a good balance in the next one!

Let's face it!  A Legend Of Zelda TV series already has our attention and we Nintendo fans will watch it regardless of whether it stars Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Midna, or Tingle... well maybe not Tingle (but I would still watch it).  The bottom line for any company working within our capitalist confines is, of course, the almighty dollar, which means mass market appeal is absolutely necessary.  I have to imagine the broadest audience would be gained by starring a young (adult) Link, as the unlikely hero.  That would allow for plenty of room for character development under the proper writing team.  That said, I would actually prefer a side story starring the titular Zelda(/Sheik) or some other brand new character. But let's be real here, we're all in the minority.  Mass market appeal will have a huge influence on what we get, if we get anything at all.  If the show does feature Link, he will certainly NOT be mute and this could actually impact the game series itself if it is well received.  This could be the jump many of us have been waiting for:  A means to invigorate the Legend Of Zelda videogames and vault them into the modern era.

The NES top-loader is a collector's item, no doubt, but it actually has worse video/audio output quality than the original box.  To cut costs, Nintendo made it RF output only.  No composite RCA output.  It looks pretty bad, especially on a flat-screen. (Do modern flat-screens even have a coax input anymore?)  BUT! if you can get your hands on those "dog-bone" style controllers the top-loaders came with, they are MUCH more comfortable than those old palm-stabbers!

To activate the Master Sword shortcut in Hyrule Circuit, hit the three spin-boosters (now dressed as crystal switches) leading up to it.  It will disappear after a short time.  And, yes, Johnny, you CAN look behind you in Mario Kart 8.  Try pressing that mysterious button with an "X" on it. ;)

I can NOT WAIT... for Theatrhythm to stop making the news because I never want to hear someone mispronouncing it as THEE-AT-RHYTHM ever again!!  Now I know some of you are U.S. Americans and you spell the word theater "theatre" differently, and moreover, the name is an awkward one, but c'mon guys.  Is it REALLY that hard to get?  Theatre. Rhythm.  Theatre-Rhythm.  Theatrhythm!  BAM!  You're welcome.
Other than that, I love the podcast.  Keep up the mostly good work.   ;D

Great Retroactive everyone!   ;D
Finished the game yesterday and didn't even know about the fireball charging.  The homing, however was more than plenty powerful.
...until you get to the final boss.  "Oh, right.  I have a sword!"  That boss must have taken me beyond 100 attempts over the span of a week.  So brutal.  Initially I thought it was entirely luck-based but I eventually got better at dodging those marbles raining down on you.  My eventual conquest almost took me by surprise.  And there was much rejoicing.  The ridiculous ending was rewarding enough... I guess.

Does anyone know if armour and shields act differently from each other?  Do they both just boost defense in the same way?  For example: do shields only protect from the front?

Given that the game's primary goal is to explore floors and levels of dungeons, the omission of any on screen indicator for which floor you're on is kind of weird. I found myself saving alot simply to see which floor I was on.

Thankfully, I discovered early on that the current floor is noted in the menu under "Status".

Nygtilger.  Eff that guy.  How was I to know I needed to have the long sword to do damage?  And how was I to know that I should grind to level 10 in order to not have it repeatedly ass rape me?  Anyways, still enjoying the game.  The music is fantastic.  I wish I had the opportunity to play this when it was current.  Now I'm trying to rush through it, partially because of Retroactive and partially cuz I'm a grown ass man with not enough time to play games!  :(

Ys just happens to be at the top of my bucket list.  Voted!  Castlevania would also be good - it's one of my faves in the series - but I've played the shiz out of it.
In the meantime... I'm still trying to finish Majora's Mask. :-[
