First off if this is in the wroung section SORRY, or if this is not worth talking about SORRY again, oh and thanks in advance.  Well anyway this is kinda a help needed situation and kinda not.  See I've been plaing SSBM for a long time now and can't seem to do two things.  One is to beat it on Very Hard, story mode with out using a continue and only using 3 lifs (which is needed to get a trophy) so if there are any easy ways to do this I am all ears.  My other problem is that I can't lower a couple of my characters Break the target times.  Ok here are the characters that I am having trouble with Dr. Mario, Ice Climbers, Ness, and well Kirby.  Dr.Mario is at 27.92 seconds, Ness is at 29.65 seconds, Ice Climbers are at 29.77 seconds, and Kirby is at 20.62 seconds.  If you have any speedy run throughs for these characters I would be very grateful.  My total target time is 6:57.13 Minutes and my goal is 6:50.  Or at least 2 seconds of that so I can beat my brother at 6:56:39.  Please help if possible.  BTW- All my other characters are below 20 seconds so if you would like fast ways to break the targets I could help you out.  Thanks again guys

Lets see, there isn't compition you guys are right about that, and the fact that there are hundreds of GBA games out (about 500) so stores just don't have the room to hold discounted titles.  Now if Nintendo had a problem with keeping shelvs full they would discount there titles and keep them on the shelvs.  Though its the oposite they want them gone so there is space for the newer games.  So instead of dicounting them they will let shipments run at a much slower pace when sales dip.  As for the reason you see crapy games on the shelvs at a discounted rate is because they are just that, crapy, and are not selling.  Stores have to get rid of them to make room for the games that are.  Stores have full control over how they discount games.  If people stop buying our beloved Mario and Luigi or Final Fantasy Tactics prices will be dropped on them.  But don't expext that to happen any time soon.  Exspecially following the strongest year that the Game boy (not GBA) had ever seen in its 17 year period (17 right??, close to that if I am wroung).  Oh yea and BTW-When you guys said it costd more to make a GBA game sence it is cartrige base and that is true.  I just want to point out that you have to remember about certain games have even more put in them then normal.  For example the past 4 pokemon titles have had an extra battery for an internal clock, and Bok-tai which contains a sun sensor.  And one more thing you guys should realize most USED GBA games sell very well too.  Sence you can hardly ever find them for cheap in stores they sell well on ebay, Gamestop, or to your friends which is cheaper and more eficient (you might even rent them out so you can get some money back, just becarful who you rent them to).  You can't go wroung buying a game then selling it later, I do it all the time for the system and I rarely lose any money.  Hell sometimes I make some.  Of course I don't spend any more then 25 on my games.  If you want to know why I get them cheap read on if not you can stop here there isn't any more useful information.  If you buy a game the weak it comes out most stores like target and bestbuy will put them on sale for about 25.  And you can get coupons at best buy for 5 bucks of that , though sometimes they might say that you can't use the coupon most of the time they won't notice.  For an explanation on how to get a free 5 doller off coupon at best buy please read on.  There are jewl case gift cards they sell at best buy and have for about 7 months I beleive.  Go in and look for the ones that have "5 DOLLERS OFF" in the lower right hand corner.  Buy this gift card and make it out for 5 bucks.  Then go back in and buy the game. use the gift card and the coupon.  Wala you just saved your self 5 smackers in a couple minutes.  I have done it a couple dozen times

Nintendo Gaming / RE:what ever happend to goldstar mountain
« on: January 17, 2004, 06:31:26 PM »
Not that I have heard anything new on the game for some time now.  Though I would have to say that it wouldn't be wise to cancle a much anticapted game.  Not that it hasn't happend but Nintendo knows they need RPG's right now and are kinda in a bind.  It is my guess that they pulled it of there web site because they weren't any where near completion and don't want to take your minds of PSO and Baiten Kaitos.  Keep your eyes pealed and let's not just look at the gamecube, they may make a similar version of the game for the GBA first to generate hype then put one out the GB version with some form of connectivity.  These are just thoughts, I certainly hope this game does make it on shelvs it seems very promissing.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Sales as good as Nintendo says?! Don't think so
« on: January 15, 2004, 07:05:17 PM »
They said similar things that would make the un a wear person think they were out selling the ps2 and xbox (eg: Dominated sales in december) .  BTW- this is a disicusion room and this is what I wanted to discuss argue about this all you want but please don't tell me I shouldn't have created this room, I didn't make you post in here.  I know nintendo wouldn't be trying to get at this at every single angle if they didn't want to realease good sounding sales marks just to make word of mouth that there system is selling well and make others purchase it.

Nintendo Gaming / Sales as good as Nintendo says?! Don't think so
« on: January 15, 2004, 06:49:22 PM »
So yea every one knows the cube dominates 03 with the only system to increase in sales from 02 (well those that weren't baried with Hadam Husein, and if his name is spelt wroung I don't really give a crap) Well not that I like to bash the cube (cause I love the little the thing) but it seems this is over exagerated a bit. PS2 is still out selling it even though the PS2 is diving down a bit. And the year that they say there up from was a really bad year for there system. I can tell there trying to generate as much hype as possible and sell more cubes (and by all means if you don't have one buy one and if you do buy another for lan parties there only $100 bucks). I'm just trying to point out that Nintendo is exagerating on how well sales are. I will admit there relativly high compared to there old sales marks, and the game boy advance is freaking amazing, but the cube is still being out sold a crap load by the PS2. And thats saing something for a system that is 80 bucks more, is another year old, has a rather bad library of games (in my opinion FFX and X2 are the only real good games), and had already sold 5 times more systems world wide then the cube. I just hope these "higher" (not necessarily high sales marks) sales don't go to Nintendos head. They still need to be extremly agressive in geating buyers and a more substantial base they have been losing sence the end of the super nintendo days. Of course they are domanating the moble gaming area. Well the competaters are the N-Gage , and cell phones.... so in other words nothin to speak of. Hmmm the PSP looks tight and the price tag makes me think of how tight me wallet is. In the last issue of gamepro it was said that sony plans to charge upwards of 400 on the little device. 4 GBASP's VS 1 PSP (remember sony isn't known for deveolping durable gaming systems let alone portibale systems). Lets see play agains't all your friends in FFCC along with giving them amazaing gifts or being the talk of the town. Or getting one PSP plaing it by your self because well no one else has the money. Maybe there will be a way to play agains't those on the N-gage, even though you might still have trouble by then (there might be a small chance you can find a person or two but don't play agains't them to long there phones might blow up) Bomb-gages for sale only 300 bucks!!!  You can go to gamefaqs and read up about them being hacked and blowing up.  Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for agreing and arguing what I have said

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Castlevania
« on: January 15, 2004, 05:06:07 PM »
Hey guys you have to realize Konami is a rather large company and CastleVania is one of there largest (if not largest) franchises.  I wouldn't put it past them to keep one in the dark for E3 this year.  Remember when Symphony of the night came out, Aria of Sorrow could have been ready for the market a few weeks later but they waited about 4 months.  I think we might see another title before the GBA is done for.  Let's keep on top of this there might be news soon
Heres hoping
