Nintendo is in the software business -- to stay. Nintendo is in the handheld business -- to stay. And Nintendo is most certainly in the home console business -- to stay. Work is well underway on the successor technology to both Game Boy Advance and Nintendo GameCube.

You can't say that.  Name one good 2D game that has been released on GCN, PS2, or XBox...Heck, name one 2D game that has been released (slight exaggeration, don't take me too seriously, it's detrimental to your health).  Oh, I almost forgot, Super Smash Bros. Melee:  one of the best selling titles on GCN and in 2D.  And I seriously think Viewtiful Joe will sell at least relatively well.
A prime example would be Ikaruga.  Great game, but it wasn't a profitable venture for its publishers.  Very few companies will create 2D games on modern consoles because the money just isn't there anymore.  SSBM sold as well as it did because the Gamecube's launch was incredibly weak, so Gamecube owners were desparate for something.

They're getting better.  Give them time.

I concur.  Just another reason to own a Gamecube.

I'm a Nintendo Power subscriber.  NOA should seriously consider distributing all future promotional discs through their magazine.  That would spike subscription sales.

Denis Dyack was caught off guard in the PGC interview when one of the interviewers mentioned that people weren't impressed by Metal Gear Solid:  The Twin Snake's graphics.  This leads me to believe that he was perfectly satisfied with the graphics in the game up to this point.  How is his vision?

Hello, I'm new to these forums.  I've been a Nintendo fan my whole life and only recently started purchasing competing consoles.  There is a world beyond Nintendo, but Nintendo's games are still my favorite.  I look forward to participating in many conversations with you people as I've been permanently banned from the IGN boards.  Introductions aren't my forte.

Geist will be just another mature game Gamecube owners won't buy for one reason or another.  Eternal Darkness should've been a million-seller.  It barely broke the 100,000 mark in North America.

I stumbled onto this site.  It's updated frequently; occasionally, you'll find a good game for a great price.

You're still covered for another 7 months.  Call Nintendo and make the proper arrangements.  You should have your Gamecube back in working order within the month.

I bought...not really, scammed Walmart and got a PS2, GTAVC, and GT3.  GT3's graphics are nice, but there are better looking racers out there, minus paper people and aliasing.  That said, GT4 looks like an improvement.

2D games on modern consoles don't sell.  I don't consider the GBA to be a modern console, since it's essentially a portable Super Nintendo.  Konami opted to make the newest console Castlevania 3D for this very reason.

Just dropping the company line.  There's one big reason why the Nintendo showing at E3 seemed to miss something and you can thank Microsoft for it.
