I went and checked out the DX9 event today at Best Buy.  Ended up getting the map from NOA and 4 more maps from other DQ9 players at the event.  Also managed to get a tshirt, poster and some stickers.  Did anyone else go to this event?  How was the turn out?

What 3DS games could look like.....The game in the video is a JAP DSi download game titled (Rittai Kakushi e Attakoreda)  they need to release this game in the USA, I would love to try it.

I like how James boldly declares that there will never be a Motion+ compatible WiiWare game the day before NWR runs a news story about ShadowPlay, a Motion+ compatible WiiWare game which was released a mere 4 days later. 

ShadowPlay was out by the time I listened to this,  I lol'd when I heard James say that.  It would not have been a surprise to me either if they never released a Motion+ compatible WiiWare game.  I don't think this game really needed motion+ for what it does.

As John was talking about Dirt2 for Wii he mentioned how it was weird that Dirt2 had no music while racing (comparing to DS racing games where u just hear the engine)  Funny thing is the DS version of Dirt2 actually has music while racing....very crappy sound quality but its there.  LOL  If they could throw some music on the DS version why not the Wii version too?  Oh well I doubt I will EVER touch this game on Wii.

In the GameFan Magazine Apr 1986. page 6/13 Says you can make your car indestructible in Rally King by simply pressing select while holding left on the control pad in the title screen, and your car should become green.  I have tried this at least 10 times and cannot get it to work.  I try it where it says Rally King and shows the van going through the desert and says push start....I assume this is the title screen?  Suggestions?

I have figured it out.  The Magazine in the game is incorrect.  The code for invincible is actually... On Title screen, hold UP + LEFT + SELECT.  I tried it and it worked the first time.  You can find all the cheats for Retro Game Challenge here....

  What brightness setting does everyone use on the DSi?  I play on High (4) The highest is just to bright and medium is just to low.  It's such a drastic difference from medium to high...I wish the brightness selection was a dial instead.  Although I love to play it on high it drains the battery pretty fast

For those of you playing Dynamite Headdy...how far into it are you?  I am currently on  Scene 5-3 - TOWERING INTERNAL.  Some of these boss battles are pretty tricky.  This is my first time playing this game, and I must say its a good game to kick off RetroActive.

Played it just very briefly so far.  I saw that the controls have a button for "Cancel Head", but it doesn't do anything as far as I can tell.  Can someone please explain?

I was curious about this at first also, but once you get a power up from "Headcase" you can cancel it with the "cancel head" button.

I was skeptical about trying this game.....but I did.  I haven't played through to much of it yet.....chuckled when I came across the stage "Toys in the Hood"  but it seems like a pretty decent platformer.   I will post more after I get a true feel for it.

every now and then I will view YouTube videos on my Wii....last night I went to view some vids and it seems that there is a new layout for youtube.com when viewing the site from the Wii.  Its much more "Wii friendly"  Less cluttered and easier to use.  Just thought I would share my little find with everyone.

The achievement that you and Jon got for "killing a rockstar dev" is actually a "virus" achievement...where if you kill a rockstar dev then you carry the virus and if anyone kills you they get the virus and so on.  Untill everyone in GTA has it.  So most likely it wasn't actually a dev you killed.  When I first got GTA IV i also thought this would be one of the achievements i would NEVER get, until i got it the first time I played online and then found out what exactly it was about.
