Nintendo Gaming / What knowledge is needed for FF12 RW?
« on: December 03, 2007, 08:09:16 AM »
I was thinking about buying Final Fantasy 12 RW for the DS but as I have not played any of the games in the series, would it be too hard to jump into the game? Would I need to play older sequels to be able to understand the main storyline and plot?

Thanks!

I have some friends going over im looking for either party games, 4 player games, or a 2 player game thats faced paced so we can give up controllers.

thanks!

*For the Wii btw*

Is SSBM compatible with Wii classic controllers? If so any good GC games you can mention?

I have Mario Party 8, and obviously Wii Sports.

Also, what virtual console games do you reccommend? Would Mario Kart 64 be worth it?

Thanks again

Nintendo Gaming / Packaging Wii Sports- Not Good For Software Sales.

Overall, I know many people who have bought the Nintendo Wii as a casual gaming system because they themselves are casual gamers. However, most of them have maybe bought only 1 or 2 titles because all they really care about Wii Sports. Now while Wii Sports did essentially sell the Wii because the game is so intuitive and easy to pick up and play, it has also stopped many casual Wii players from going out and buying games that they normally would of.

For example, most of my casual gaming friends, turn on the Wii every couple of weeks or so, unlike more hardcore gamers who turn it on at least once a week. And while hardcore gamers get bored with games after a while because they play them more often, casual gamers don't because they don't play the system as often and Wii sports fills there appetite.

So if Nintendo had not included Wii Sports, perhaps casual gamers would of been more open to try out and most likely buy different games. And to be honest there are a lot of lame ports that casual gamers would of picked up played for a while but because of poor gameplay with the Wiimote would of either sold the title bought a new one or bought a new title altogether. Now while you may be thinking people would of just bought Wii Sports anyways instead of buying and trying out all these different titles, when casual gamers are looking at all the games placed on the racks they really don't know which title is best and if they should for instance buy Wii Sports or not compared to a lame port.

Just a thought. I know if Wii Sports hadn't been included in many of my friends Wii's they would of bought more games to find one that they really like.

Well it was bound to happen since Galaxy's reviews went up.  The more reviews a game gets the more likely it's average is to come down.  If Ocarina of Time had to have over 90 reviews like Metriod Prime or Resident Evil 4 did then it would have a much lower score then it does.

If we went by what the average score is then this is what Gamerankings Top 10 should look like.  Which means Mickey Mania for the Sega CD should be considered the greatest game of all time.

I do not understand, I clicked your link and I got the same results, I did not see Mickey anywhere. Also, obviously you have not played Mickey Mania for it was the best first-person shooter that generation, and even now is pretty much unparalled.

I do. This is a sign that the Wii has lost the console war.

Sarcasm aside, whatever website gave it a lower score is biased.

Super Mario Galaxy has returned to the 2nd highest rated title overall, on any platform. Zelda Ocarania of Time has taken back its number 1 position. In my books at least getting in the top 10 is a GIANT success.

That looks so nice. I want to get the controller but... It doesn't match with my all white colored matching accessories.
