That sounds an awful lot like my theory I posted on r/amiibo yesterday. Wondering if you heard it there?

Almost done with Conquest. I can honestly say these are some of the most well designed maps. They really want to screw you over. Especially the Eternal Stairway. That map is bullshit. I had to use the Exp DLC to buff my people just to get past that. I am still enjoying the game because it is keeping you on your toes the entire time. I'm considering a Lunatic run when all the DLC releases since I know one of them gets you Anna and another allows you to make someone Ike's class.

I got Revelations downloaded and I'm going to get Birthright soon just have a complete collection. Hoping they update the game to include compatibility with the Roy amiibo. I'd like to have him for my Revelations run along with Lucina (since I just bought her for $30).

Edit: Some people say that Roy will be announced to work around April 28th, when his amiibo releases in Japan, if he is announced at all. So I can look forward to that I suppose. Seems like Direct material anyways.

Been distracted by Twilight Princess and Fire Emblem, but I will start coming online at night now hopefully if Ygg isn't dead yet. If so, then there is always Telethia.

Edit: Also

I suspect that a number of these overreacting fans are responding out of a fear that gradual changes to the core formula over time will eventually transform the game into something entirely different that what it is they love.

I do not condone their behavior, but I would like to think most of them are just trying to make sure their beloved series is not turned into something unrecognizable and not enjoyable to them.
This is about it. It's old fans who are uneasy about the new changes. And I've seen when they mention this, the newer fans are just as vicious and outright say "no one gives a **** what you think." The entire fanbase right now is in a transition. And this is the a video game community on the internet. It's going to be like this. Expecting them to have a healthy discussion isn't going to happen.

The glory of a single player game is you can play it however the hell you want.

And I don't hate casual mode with no permadeath. I hate how horrible Awakening was. At least Fates has fixed that awful shitfest

We will start when Evan gets his Ares then. I need to grind more BLADE Medals too. I only have about 10 or so. Let's just hope the community isn't overly enthusiastic and kills Ygg too fast.

Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest- Yes I know I bitched a lot, but I figured I'd give Conquest, the one aimed at old FE fans, a shot. I started on Hard mode and holy **** this is actual Fire Emblem. With minimal anime cringe so far. Love it, I'm stuck on Chapter 9 and it has been a slow process, but it is a fun challenge. They did a much better job of balancing the game, enemies finally pair up, and abilities are better applied to enemies. Deciding whether to pair someone up or have them side by side matters a lot. I'm happy with it. Hoshido is still casual trash, but I love this.

So we want to try a coordinate a time when a group of us can grind him?

I toughed out FF Anthology loading screens multiple times. I think I will deal with these just fine even if it is unfortunate.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Twilight Princess HD: Now with 100% more Amiibo!
« on: March 05, 2016, 01:13:52 PM »
Bad News: Off-screen play will cause massive fps drop to play on the gamepad, especially around Lake Hylia.

Good News: You can switch between wolf and human by touching a symbol on the gamepad. Which is very convenient. Also they switched the rupee bag thresholds around. You have a bigger starting wallet (500) and the first upgrade goes up to 1000 instead of 600.

Got mine today. I'm really surprised how nice everything is. Very nice art plastered over box and the amiibo box. The Amiibo is WONDERFUL!! I actually feel kind of bad for having to take it out of the box. Like really bad.

The game isn't as blurry as before and some of the colors pop out better. Some of it shows it was a Gamecube game, but otherwise this is a more beautiful version of an already beautiful game.

The amiibo isn't pay2win. You can't reach the end of the Trial of Shadows until a certain point. It just throws you out after so many floors depending on your progress. So no you can't cheat the Golden Bug quest. So I kind of regret using the amiibo for that....

Also the opening was like 2 hours for me. By opening I mean from the start -> Forest Dungeon entrance. Didn't drag that bad at all. Nothing like Skyward Sword. So the pacing is still pretty good I think...

Note: The only fps drop I've noticed is when you fight King Bulbin in Kakariko Gorge and you ride through the water puddles. And that was only in that instance.

88
The game looks fine, but it just doesn't appeal to me. I personally would prefer they did something else other then this, or rather that this was a console game and not handheld. Metroid Prime gameplay on my N3DS? That sounds more like another case of breaking buttons and circle pads  ::)

89
NoA supervising Atlus? More stuff for the censor hounds to bark about at NoA's terrible decisions. Age changes are irrelevant, costume tone downs are irrelevant, hot springs dlc sounds like pure fan service. If this was actually Persona with Social Links? I would be outraged. This is not going to have anything of the sort so I don't care.

I find the Japanese only voice dubs lazy. But the game sold poorly and it is a surprise it is even coming over to be honest. I'll take it.

@Mop- It has Fire Emblem names....and...uhh...

TalkBack / Re: Dragon Quest VII Still Coming to North America

Hmm not happy about no release date. I'll read between the lines and tell myself that because this is a Spring/Summer release Direct, DQVII is still releasing around then. And that it isn't delayed.

91
Well I was curious. I would LOVE for it to be Atlus USA. They do a great job and always include special editions. I'll be disappointed if it is Treehouse.

Still, I have something to plus in the next few months on the Wii U. So I'm happy  :D

92
Anyone knows who is localizing it?

Overdrive Extend XX is relatively easy to get. Arts Gain TP XX and Weapon Attack Up XX are worse. Much worse. I've spent 3 days straight on these and they made me want to rip my eyes out. I got two of each meaning I had to grind 384 fucking items. And those are just my weapons. I've not even started on my armor because WHERE THE HELL IS YGGRALITH I NEED HIS SCALES.

Fun Fact: True Armor costs 77,000+ tickets. God help me

I'm not sure if I have you folks added on Wii U. What are your NNIDs? Mine's Mop_it_up.

I have never tried the "global nemesis" stuff as even though the range is lvl 1-60, I'm guessing it takes endgame equipment to stand a chance. And I'll probably need better stuff than I have now, even. So I may not be much help, but I'll try!

An Ares 70 or a Level 60 Light Skell have high enough evasion to essentially cheat the Nemesis's. They are more or less damage runs with ticket rewards by then. On foot you shouldn't have too much of a problem either as long as someone can stagger lock them or make a useful distraction. With max Overdrive you should be invincible unless he reflects damage and you don't have a augment to nullify it. I think as long as one person is at max overdrive, anyone who goes into it will be at max as well.

On foot can deal out damage faster then Skells I believe, but Skells have a higher damage potential. And all the defense stuff too

NNiD is as listed in my signature: Triforcehermit09
I am on most of the day at the moment as this game now owns my soul until Twilight Princess comes out, but I'll be playing until I 100% Frontier Nav (above 90%!!).

Dragon Quest VII release date hopefully? Star Fox Zero and maybe SMTxFE. Probably more Fire Emblem Fates DLC. Rumored Mother 3 VC release. Think that is it.

Edit: You know what would also be great? A Fire Emblem amiibo restock announcement

Ygg isn't back yet....dammit.

Trying to try a new melee build....Fucking Joker won't drop a Prime Sakuraba Photon Saber. Meaning I have to grind for Arts Gain TP XX...which I had to do anyways, but still a pain in the ass. Also **** the Blood Lobster.

@Evan- I would recommend a lvl 60 model at least. I didn't fight him until I got my Ares 70 though so don't take my word for it. With an Ares 70 you should be able to dodge 99% of his attacks just fine. But any level 60 model should be fine. A Level 50 model might be fine, but I would still recommend a post-game craft Skell.

@Pokepal- That asshole isn't required to 100% Primordia thankfully. But if I can increase Overdrive extends on my Skell it should be fine. Or just whore out my evasion stat and become OP :smug:

:confused; Tips are not tax free, at least not on a federal tax return.  They're often under reported (especially if cash), so that's one "benefit".

I thought tips weren't taxed? At least not immediate like when a weekly check is pulled. (The tax system is still eternally a mystery to me).

Gravidus, the Headless Emperor is so far the biggest bullshit tyrant. I can kill Luciel, the Eternal and Harmut, the Calamity, but this bastard's gimmick is crap. 100,000,000 HP. I run out of Skell fuel at 1/4 of his health.

Edit: I have officially run out of quests. I have a few affinity missions and maybe a Nopon caravan quest or two, but I can't find anymore. I have two related to Primordia to do though then I have 100% surveyed Primordia. Leaving me in the pickle of what to finish next. Oblivia has Gravitus, Sylvalum has Pharsis. Noctilum has Telethia. Cauldros I guess?

If we gonna do Ygg farming let's make up a date. I don't care for what runs we do, RP or Ticket grinding. Personally I prefer to just go through it normally  :P:

Potential affects the power of Arts that use TP which is why it is considered the most important. Or at least according to someone who was on a server and answered someone about what some of the stats do.

Edit: Oh and look I crossed the 100k miranium limit. Time to get an Ares 90
