If that game can prove to be good I'll play it.  The only thing attracting me to it is the fact that theres no monthly fee and you can multi-class.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Nintendo Announces MP3/Video Player Add-on
« on: December 17, 2004, 04:55:16 PM »
I checked again.  Its 40 gig for $400 dollars.

Man Nintendo is so different with this announcement don't you guys think?  Usually you would see them push something that would be used for gaming rather it be some peripheral or game.  Here they talk about being worried so they have to add a music and video player?

Trying to equal all that extras to an Ipod an Ipod is extremely cheaper.

Aren't you able to get 400 GB on an Ipod for $400?  This is all so expensive.  I might buy extras for my gaming experience but most of money will go to gaming mainly.

I would complain if GBA and GCN had the amount of RPGs PSX and PS2 have.  Right now Nintendo systems are in need of anything.

Why can't Capcom just make the DBZ game themselves?

I read it.  Controversy?  No!  Just a bunch of retards that don't make sense in their letters.

How are we getting the short end of the stick?  Its not like the GBA and GCN together have this huge library of great RPGs.

I don't see a problem with it.  Super Mario RPG, Super Mario 64, and Paper Mario totally broke away from sidescrolling Mario.  Plus its not like they're giving him a gun.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Final Fantasy I and II
« on: December 10, 2004, 06:31:17 AM »
After playing FFI and seeing as how Lufia was released on the SNes I thought that Lufia was really behind in what they should do in RPGs.  I rather see a port of Tales of Phantasia than Lufia.  Of course if you add it with II then I see Lufia I as the plus with Lufia II being the major game.

Stats could still work in an action rpg.

The enemy can still be made to miss you.  Even if you're just standing there Link's own instinct would cause him to evade.  The amount of damage Link's sword can do will vary with the random critical and misses in there.  Link's running speed can get faster over time but very little.  Of course you're going to need when he can gain certain abilities every now and then.

But I don't want it to go too far.  Saying incantations would be awesome but thats better for another RPG.

General Gaming / RE: Square Enix making a profit on online games?
« on: November 19, 2004, 01:08:27 PM »
Uh if you already forgot about the DS then I'd see a reason to make this thread.

If Nintendo can create a Neverwinter Nights like game of I dunno the world of Zelda I think that will be more popular.  If you had to pay for something it isn't even close to $10 and plus its optional too.  They should learn from Bioware not Square-Enix.

General Chat / RE: Spike TV's Video Game Awards
« on: November 17, 2004, 04:38:07 AM »
I remember the last time they showed it.

They wasted time with Jackass stars' nudity, wrestling, rappers, etc  They wasted time so much compared to any other award show.

They nominated video game soundtracks contributed by artists who didn't make their music for the game.  Those artists were just ridiculously lucky.  DMX made his music for the fans and they gave the game that had his music the best music soundtrack awards.

They had the best movie game award and they even gave that a band to play a song for after they anounced the game to waste even more time.  It was "Enter the Matrix."  What the hell?!  They didn't even have an RPG award!

The amount of times they showed a commercial was just as much as a superbowl.  A football play can last less than a minute but they should take their time when explaining sound, graphics, gameplay, and control.

They weren't even funny when they tried to.  I know the mainstream knows about The Chapelle Show so how the heck did they find any of that stuff funny?  They made the funny things in the Final Fantasy games look like something from the gods.

Compared to MTV, their awards were pretty good.  Even you don't like their music Spikes VGA makes their award shows feel like E3.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Disturbing conversation overhead at a Game Stop...
« on: November 17, 2004, 03:58:03 AM »
I buy stuff from Game Crazy because they talk at our language instead of being a salesman about it.

GStop is always like telekmarketing to me.  They get me to buy other things other than what I buy.  A lot of times they don't even know what I'm talking about and its usually something obvious.  If I say Halo the number one thought that should come to their head is that it belongs on the xbox instead of "What system?"  If they're wrong then you correct them.  Its just the way they say, "What system?", that kind of makes it sound like they don't know what they're talking about.  I know they can hire anybody but it sure sucks when they advertise that the employees play their game at work.

GCrazy well like earlier talk at the language thats really comfortable to me.  Its like talking to people at a forum.  They only tried to sell you the discount card but even that is attractive since you guys buy games all the time that paying for that is a drop in the bucket.  The people that work there most of the time are usually always excited because they get to talk to you about games.  They apply not because its just a place to get money because they can surround themselves with more games and play them.

« on: November 16, 2004, 05:43:05 PM »
Whatever Mario said.  In a way the touchscreen control owns mouse, joystick, joystick button,  or any other form of movement.  It doesn't totally own the others but its a REALLY FUN way to play.

With Game Boy Evolution beside it that slogan seems pretty bad.

"Revoluton.  The Ultimate Evolution."

Nintendo Gaming / RE: New Legend of Zelda already in Quarter 2?
« on: November 14, 2004, 04:48:56 AM »
Will anyone still care for Zelda once the Revolution is shown?  GCN is already in a hole it can't dig itself out of so most likely people will be looking forward to that instead.  I like to think of Zelda as the last big thing for the GCN with the rest not really being bad just something for you to play because of course everybody wants to see it big for the Revolution.

So if it is Q2 I feel an April release would be good that way I can pick it off the shelf easily the month after if it will be in such demand in April.

They had an arcade version of Unreal Tournament and I have to say that its never worth it.  Better to upgrade your computer than spend $5 on something you can't even keep.

I never heard Reggie talk but the more I hear about him hes probably more of a wildhorse than the screaming man that tries to sell stuff on the selling programs as if they were getting extinct.
