General Gaming / X360 Commercial?
« on: August 31, 2005, 08:53:32 AM »
Ok, I was watching TV the other day and ran across a co-promotional ad for the 360 and Mountain Dew.  The thing that I am wondering is does this upset any of you, and do you feel like Nintendo would never get this type of good early advertising?  I mean come on.  It's still months away from launching.

Nintendo Gaming / Was Hunters Delayed?
« on: August 17, 2005, 01:45:29 PM »
In addition to Nintendogs, Nintendo DS has a strong lineup of games arriving before the end of the year. These include Advance Wars: Dual Strike on Aug. 22, Trace Memory on Sept. 26, Metroid Prime Pinball on Oct. 24 and Mario & Luigi 2 in Q4. The new price for Nintendo DS also gives consumers another excuse to buy a Nintendo DS to be ready for the upcoming Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, the wireless gaming service to launch later this year with a Mario Kart racing game and an Animal Crossing community-building game.

Ok, according to Nintendo's own statements about great upcoming DS games, Hunters is nowhere to be found.  This leads me to believe that they have delayed it, and hopefully, they will be adding a/the much needed online mode.

Note:  Metroid Pinball is still scheduled for October.

General Gaming / RE: Xbox 360 Price Announced
« on: August 17, 2005, 01:14:50 PM »
Normal person:

I want to buy the X360.  However, it is way to expensive at $300. Ouch, look at the Deluxe version at $400.  It's even worse.  So either way I will be spending a house payment, and if I get the cheaper one to save money, all my friends will shurley laugh at me for not having the most expensive version.

Hardcore gamer:

WTF......$400 for the "gamers" system.  Man that is just ridiculous.  Not even any real backwards compatability.  No good launch games.  Many of which are the same pieces of generic crap that I bought just last month for the Xbox 1.  Also, PD0 missing the launch window.  Wow, I just soooooo need a 360.  NOT

Best impersenations ever

Hey everyone, just found this info on the web.

Copy/pasting the entirety of an off-site document is a no-no. Not citing the source is also considered naughty. For those interested in reading the article, you can see it here:

General Gaming / How much will the new hardware cost companies?
« on: June 08, 2005, 07:22:39 AM »
Ok, soooooooooooo........................

Apparently the Xbox 360 will cost my post is a train wreck $375 to build and sell for $300 according to Gameindustrybiz.

Rumors point at the PS3 costing between $430 and $480 to build and Sony will sell it for $400.

And lastly, I think the REV will cost around $180 to $220 for Nintendo to build and they will sell it for $200.

I would both  like yall's opinions, and would really like it if ya'll would provide some further evidence if you know any.

I wright so poorly somtimes

Just a question about the world market(s)?

Ok, so the DS has totally won Japan now, but

Things seem not to well in the US right now,

In Europe it sold well at first, but what about now?

And in Australia it sold increadible at first, but what about now?

41
Well, I do believe that the XBox numbers must be false considering that it has quit litterally been dead in japan for some time.  one can only hope that those mistwalker games turn out to be c rap.

I just looked threw the top 50 Japanese games and the winner is

Nintendo DS with 11 titles,

Gameboy Advance with 11 titles,

PSP with 5 titles,

Although the PSP is continuing to sell, not as well as DS, the games for the PSP system seem to be left on the shelves by the Japanese public.

Nintendo Gaming / Any possibility of battery pack or a top on tv?
« on: May 19, 2005, 11:42:57 AM »
Has anyone heard yet if the Revolution will also have accessories like battery pack's or a tv screen to make it the perfect portable home console gaming machine.

I need this to be true so that I can take advantage of its online capabiliteies by taking it to college and using their Wi-Fi.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Support the Revolution's appearence on IGN!
« on: May 18, 2005, 12:48:13 PM »
It's in the very bottom left of the IGN.com homepage.

Yes, I suppose that I should be happy that it is that high as well, it's just that I want it to be at 100%.

However, it is inching closer to that goal.  It's up to 30.6%

Nintendo Gaming / Support the Revolution's appearence on IGN!
« on: May 18, 2005, 12:28:09 PM »
Right now at the bottom of the page on IGN, there is a pole on which next-gen game system you think is the best.

  When I voted, the PS3 had 37%
                the Xbox 360 had 33%
and the Revolution had only 30%

make your vote known and shown those liberal gaming pigs that we believe in the Revolution.

If not, we might have to turn this into a bloody gaming revolution!

Interesting thoughts on the USB 2.0 ports.

What do you others think the USB ports could be used for ?

Nintendo Gaming / SD memory cards and the impact on the Revolution?
« on: May 18, 2005, 11:50:05 AM »
I have a few questions regarding SD memory cards on the Revolution.

The first question is, how good of a card will we need if we want to expand the Revolution's memory?
I have found a 1GB San Disk Extreme card for $89.95 and was wondering if that would be the way to go?

Also, where will it be put in?  Will it be in the Gamcube memory card areas on the Rev?

Furthermore,  will the 512 of Rev flash memory be like a computer's RAM, or will it be like I expect and be like a wonderful fast acting mini hard drive?
