Have them ready to go on day one so you don't miss a beat!

Wii U owners will be able to purchase and pre-download Kirby and the Rainbow Curse as well as Mario Party 10 ahead of release, Nintendo has confirmed.

If you head over to the company's online store, you can pre-order the digital version of Kirby's first proper outing on Wii U for $39.99. Meanwhile, Mario Party fans can pre-purchase a download code for the franchise's tenth installment at the price of $49.99 right here.

Will you be pre-downloading either of these games ahead of their fast-approaching launches? Kirby and the Rainbow Curse releases on February 20, while Mario Party 10 will be available one month later, on March 20.

They should be doing this for Monster Hunter and Majora's Mask. It sounds like a lot of people will be jumping on getting one or both of these at launch. Hopefully this is the beginning of a rolling trend for Nintendo. I don't typically buy digital or day-one, but I am happy it is an option for those who do.

Nope. I'll just be doing my usual process of waiting until there is a price drop/sale/deal of some sort that I can get on these titles and then purchasing them at that time upon which I shall put them on my shelf and if they're lucky, I'll play them 3 years after that purchase.

Pre-loading is awesome, but I'm not interested in either of these games enough to be purchasing them day one, so I won't be using it for these.

I was playing Smash Wii U within 30 seconds of midnight ET. Worked great for me.

I'll technically preload Kirby in that I'm buying it on the 19th.

Sounds about right for me also.

Or you could just get off your lazy ass and go down to the store on release day and buy a physical copy.
Or buy online with release date delivery. Then you won't even have to get off your lazy ass!

You'd have to get up, walk all the way to the door, pick up the package, open it, take the game out of its wrapping, and put it in the system. Way too damn much work.

Preloading allows me to not have to drive 45 minutes to the nearest video game store AND I can play at 9 due to the time zone differences. Since where I live doesn't get Prime shipping for same day delivery its perfect for me.

It may not be good for you, but that doesn't mean it isn't useful.

I want a digital copy of both games, but want to see how Nintendo's new rewards program works first.
